You can either retrieve it through the built in Windows Update feature (see Control Panel or type 'Windows Update' into the Start Menu's search box) or manually at the Microsoft Download Center. Please keep in mind that you need to have a genuine version of Windows to apply this Service Pack, and to download the correct file depending on your edition. The 32-bit version is denoted with 'x86' at the end of its name, and the 64-bit version is denoted with 'x64'

On the security front... I got this netbook in January 2010 with Windows 7 Starter. I upgraded to Ultimate and its still running inhumanly fast. No slowdown unless its running both a virusscan (ClamWin) and defrag. Considering that my dual-core 2.6 GHz with 2 Gigs of RAM couldn't handle Vista, I'd say Windows 7 is a pretty considerable upgrade on reliability. Right, back to security. I've had 1 virus (Some sort of scareware) since then, and I could remove that by booting to safe mode, and I've been doing all kinds of unsafe stuff on it. I even open spam and email them back telling them about the spelling errors they made.

I was already secure and fairly efficient before so that doesn't affect much for me but I did notice a slight slowdown in how much RAM just gets "lost" to the system before rebooting. However it seems slightly more prone to locking up now.. like it's not a major issue but when it happens like once a week it's a bit irritating.... still slightly better preformance besides that.
