Who else agrees that Sega should bring back the Chao Gardens? I stayed up ALL night raising my Chao! It was so fun and I think Sega should make it come back! |

I really enjoyed having chao and I really enjoyed raising them and all the little things you can give them and change them into different animals and such it was really cute. I would like SEGA to bring it back as it would be a lot of fun but I don't know if they would deem it feasible. I thought would really enjoy it going back to the way it was in Sonic Adventure 2 Battle. Very interactive and having races and stuff it was a load of fun when you wanted a break. |

I object to your claims
|
Yes, they should. I loved those little guys in Sonic Adventure 2. I'd quite enjoy it if they brought the Chao Garden back. Well....to be technical, there was a Chao Garden in Chronicles. Only, it was used to keep track of the Chao you've collected and nothing more.=/ I want to be able to actually raise Chao again. |

Same here I got excited when I saw a Chao Garden in Chronicles until I realised it was more just like a holding pen for the chao you have. I miss Jigsaw (that was my favourite chao that I raised in Sonic Adventure 2) it was fun being able to give them all different abilities and powers and they looked different depending on who you used I loved that about them. They all seemed so unique. |

It would make a good DS game. With the touch screen and a bit of innovation (anyone remember Chao Adventure on the VMUs?) it'd make some profit off the die hard Sonic fans. Plus with how [super] cute they are... <P |

Oh I loved my chao like they were my children. I would spend hours and hours making sure they had everything they need and that they grew up to be big and stwong <3 The chao garden from SA2 Battle brings back good nostalgic memories for me. Im so glad I still have the game and my old memory card. I try my best to visit them once in a while. I would love if SEGA brought them back. Now if it would be an uprgade or a downgrade from the old chao gardens is the question. |

I feel if they made a comeback, a Chao Garden game like nintendogs (just an example) would be the best choice. I really enjoyed raising chao. I had a few cool looking ones with two tones (like pink/purple blue/purple). |

I'm gonna be the drive-by party-pooper and say that out of all the things that should return from the Adventure series and its spiritual successors, the Chao Garden is near the bottom of my list. I tend to defend the genre mash-up style, partly because the alternate gameplay at least had narrative-based purposes for existing, but the Gardens never even had that going for them. Then SA2 had the audacity to make them necessary for unlocking Green Hill. Throw on top of it the fact that the virtual pet is probably the shortest-lived and conceptually-limited fad Sega could have chosen to up the replay value, and you can understand my apathy over the Gardens. If they ever come back though, it'll be no skin off my nose, so long as they don't make them mandatory for completion again. |

On the brink of insanity

It added a little something to the regular stages too. It was fun trying to replay levels just to find the right animals.

SuperShadowGal as long as in the game you didn't HAVE to talk to the chao like you do with Nintendogs because I hate talking to things in game. I would prefer it to be silent where just DS touch screen and buttons are used. That'd be fine though on the DS. Havoc, I enjoyed that too! I used to love when my speedy ones got little spots from the leopard cheetah thing. |

Bliz has a point about having to go through the races and what not to earn emblems. This is a pain in my side. Still havent got em all yet, let alone all A ranks for every mission *sigh* |

This is a delicate proced -- Oops
|
I can see why people wouldn't want the chao-raising to be essential to completion of the game -- while I didn't think it was that hard, it WAS time-consuming, and that made this very impatient gamer annoyed. It's more of a side-game anyway. I personally enjoyed the chao gardens, but I think it could be improved on if it were remade. I personally wouldn't mind seeing a little more complexity to the chao appearances and genetics, and better AI wouldn't be too bad, either. The chao in SA2 just seems a little too basic now when I go back and look at it. |

Sandopolis Act 1
|
I kind of liked the fact it was neccessary for completion. But then, I never tried to get all emblems (How many, 180?) so I never found the Chao as inhibitors, and instead as helpers. I would wonder what it would be like for Chao to be in Sonic Unleashed, but it's too fast. Even Sonic Colors is too fast. Sorry, I'm not dissing the modern classics, I'm just saying them and Chao wouldn't mix well. I wish Sonic was SA slow again, for the chao. |

Flying Battery Act 2

It'd be nice to bring them back. I enjoyed just sitting there and feeding my chaos lol The racing could either be taken out or improved, and the karate was fun, I enjoyed watching the chaos fight lol. I havn't played any of the new sonic games yet as I'm having problems with school, But if they keep making games like Sonic unleashed and sonic colours, Chao wouldn't work. It ma y work in a game like Dark knight perhaps? I havn't played that either yet lol. |
