Chase was lost in thought, but the weight of Kayla's head on his shoulder brought him back. "huh? oh, i'm sorry, i was thinking...what did you ask?" he smiled to show was sincerly sorry.

meanwhile...

"i don't care if we fail. i was going to ask eggman to shut me down anyway. i'm supossed to dead. both me and my brother. we died a long time ago. please, i want you to understand. if i die, it's for the best." Reena said. she put her hands on Aaron's shoulders, and kissed him. "now let's find Chase."

"right..." Chase said. "well, there can be a great faliure if try that though. but i don't really care. there's no point." he sighed.

Reena stepped back and looked at Aaron. "that's it, i don't feel alive. the closest i've felt alive, was when i first saw you. it was love at first sight. but i don't feel alive. i'm machine, created to do evil. that's all i am, all i'll ever be." she looked at the floor. then something struck her.

"this place isn't abandoned. look at the floors, they're too clean."

Reena looked at Aaron. "we need to find Chase, now!" she took off down the hall, no idea where she was going, following her heart.

meanwhile...

Chase sighed. he heard something down the hall, but ignored it. "for an abandoned hideout, the floors sure are clean." he noticed.

Chase looked around. "do you think this place abandoned? it seems empty but..." he heard something down the hall again, this time louder. "What is that?" he asked, getting annoyed.

Reena found herself lost. "why that little... he changed to design. he uses the same design for ever other hideout, but this one! when i get my hands on him... i'll need a new manicure. just kidding, but it won't be pretty." she grumbled. she walked over to Aaron and fell into his arms. "why must this be so confusing?"

Reena sighed. "don't you find it... awkward, that i was created by your cousin, and we're in love?" She asked, but she didn't wait for an answer. "know your cousin... i know him! he made, so i know how his head works! i know all his hideouts inside and out, i can tell the differance between his upgraded and non-upgraded bots, it may not be that noticable, but when you're around them since you were little, you can tell. i should know this place... oh dear..." she let herself slide to the floor and then she stood up again. "i just remembered something..."

Meanwhile...

"there it is again! i'm going to go see what that noise is." Chase said, letting go of kayla's hand and standing up. "are you coming?" he asked, holding out his hand to help her up. we're just like my friend now... he thought. he laughed a little. except i'm the girlfriend that helps.
