So I finally got rid of Verizon... Pretty much they are the most overpriced wireless phone company out there!! Their lowest plan is $40 a month but that isn't really true is it? No because the require you to have a measly 25mb data plan for $10 more a month. So their absolute lowest services is $50 a month for 450 minutes and 25mb data for internet. This does not include texting! Which means every text with this plan is 20 cents per text. You can get a bundle for 500 texts a month for $10 more though... So essentially you're paying $60 a month at this point for that. Add on the $6 a month I was paying for insurance and you have about $66 a month for a VERY limited plan... The last straw in my patience for them was the fact that they wanted $95 for me this month for no reason! I did not go over on anything, so I was pissed! I pretty much terminated my contract, and while that was costly, it was worth it to wash my hands of them. |

Good grief Metallix when I see the cost of YOUR monthly contract I feel so happy to be on a £15 (about $24) a month contract that gives me 800 any time minutes, unlimited internet and unlimited texts. For what you were getting on your plan the price is ridiculous. I wish you luck in finding a new provider who won't destroy your wallet/bank account. |

What service gives you all that for $24? Edited by Havoc The Tenrec, Jan 24 2011, 07:09 PM.

AT&T does it at $20, then you incorporate a unlimited texting plan, about another $20. About $43 with taxes. I dont have internet on my phone so i dont have to pay extra. |

Lol, I'm 16 and don't even have a cell. My parents have tried to force one on me before, but I really feel like it's a waste of money. I got MSN. I feel like that's enough. This is the shining example of why I don't keep a cell phone, I'll never use it and it seems a bit overpriced to me. |

I'm with Fwiss. I despise cell phones. The only reason that I have one is because my parents refuse to let me go with out it (they are always worried about an emergency happening and I have no way to reach anyone, or they have no way to reach me.) I'm married and nearly 21 years old.. but my parents still pay my cell phone bill... And if they didn't pay for it, I would never have one. I hate the fact that most cell phones are outdated after just 1 year, sometimes even less. and Verizon is the worst! Unfortunately, in Indiana everyone has Verizon, so you might as well have it too... |

I with Orange. Remember UK companies thwart American providers as we don't get charged if someone calls us (at least that's what I recall people in America complaining about that both the caller and receiver of the call get charged). That's just stupid. |

Lucky UK. Well I'm on some sort of unlimited family plan with sprint. Three of us have androids and the other has a blackberry, so I'm not sure how much that costs them. |

Androids are more versatile phones in comparison to Blackberries though - more apps and such isn't there? |

Yeah, Androids are like iphones, they got all the apps... but not as much or all the same games. And they never really get dropped calls. Blackberries are sorta known for tech-illiterate fools who think they're so important because they're in the corporate business world, and a simple possession of said phone makes them feel more important than they are. No offense Blackberry users, it's sort of describing the truth, and it's describing my brother. But actually, Blackberry does have apps too. Edited by Havoc The Tenrec, Jan 25 2011, 09:03 PM.

I feel left out in my family; everyone has some form of the IPhone. :< My Dad got the IPhone4, Step-mom's got the 3G, and my sister has the first version. I'm still kickin' it with my old combo of the 3rd gen. IPod Nano (Without the camera, had it since 2007) and a nice At&T Motorola Razor. Yes, the FIRST Razor, the one that came out in 2003! xD That was my dad's old phone, though |

OH NO U DON'T ![]() The main reason I use a blackberry is that they're pretty inexpensive, have a nice keyboard and I really have no need to play games on it (I have my DS for that) |

I know I know. I'm just throwing out the stereotype because it fits someone I know, and the chart. This is always kinda funny.

Hahaha that chart is hysterical. It makes me happy I stuck with my old brick type phone because all this new-fangled technology and touch screen crap is so unnecessary and so unwanted I'd rather continue to drop the price of my contract and keep my old phone! I like bar shaped phones with number pads. Not a full QWERTY keyboard and touch screen functions. D: |
