It's about a girl who's brother went missing at a haunted mansion and all she finds is her mothers camera that her brother had. Somehow she is trapped in the mansion. I'm currently trying to find a copy for my Xbox 360.

I found it Gamestop.com for 16.99. Now if only I had 16.99 (Luckily I have my discount card).
And I know it was for xbox. But it works on 360 so I still will get it. Thats how we played it back home.

Tisk.
I found it on eBay for 14.99. But P&P probably made it roughly the same price as you got it... and your one will be new... I keep getting ripped off D=

That and I have money left on my card so that helps too. Also mine is used but I usually don't have to worry too much with GS. That and shipping isn't too much of a problem. But we're getting off topic...

I have a personal preference when playing scary games. The lights have to be off and it has to be night. It adds to the suspense and makes nights more fun.

I have the same prefrences.
Although I've played some horror games which have a little warning at the start saying ''Don't play this in the dark cos it'll hurt your eyes or something''
Not in those words. lol

I don't usually pay to much attention to those warnings in manuals and stuff (I mean who wants to play a game on the smallest screen possible). Not to mention its more fun if you play certain games in the dark (Or should I say drop-dead scary...)

You should try collecting spiders for 2 weeks, then letting them out in the dark while playing Project Zero when you get it. =D
That's what I'd do (if I was extreemly stoned)

Nah spiders don't really bother me all that much (I lived in my parents basement with plenty of spiders... They don't really scare me). Although it wouldn't really work in my dorm either. And I'm not sure how my roommate feels about spiders.

I actually wanted a pet taranchula, but I declined that idea when I found you had to kill things to feed it... I'm a Buddhist, so I'm kinda against killing stuff or whatever...

If that's not what creeps you out then, I would suggest getting really high so that even your shadow scares the shit out of you. That's the best way to play horror games =D

Gold if you add a surround sound system into the mix you have the perfect pant-wetting atmosphere for playing scary games! I love playing scary games with company in the dark with a surround sound system turned up reasonably full.

@Eil: I kind of have surround sound with my TV (I think we've only turned it up to an eighth of its max volume. It gets super loud otherwise. I tried convincing my parents to sound proof my room. Never did get em to do it). I wish I didn't sell my old one (Although it was crappy hand-me-down junk anyways).
@Andyi: I try to stay away from drugs. It could mess up my meds (ADHD). I'm already jumpy as hell anyways so it works out.

I know what you mean in a few respects I am glad I don't have a surround sound system at the moment because the last one I had was super loud when it was only turned up three times from 0. So it would probably cause me to fall through the floor if the bass kicked in.

But man how I'd love to have a scary game party with a friend and have that surround system back. We could play Penumbra and wet ourselves!!

I got Dead Space 2 myself recently, and I'd like to echo the comments on people saying it's not scary. The big problem is that the game is trying way too hard to scare you. There's always stuff suddenly falling over, things jumping through windows and doors, random power outages, dimly-lit hallways, hallucinations, balloons popping (yes), etc. You just never get a break at any time from it, so after a while it just becomes background noise instead of a source of terror.

You can't just fling scare after scare after scare at the audience and expect them to be afraid. It just doesn't work. You need to balance the scares with quiet moments to lull the audience into a false sense of security, or you need to build up a sense of dread and foreboding first. Otherwise the audience just gets bored of the constant frights. Dead Space 1 achieved this balance much, much better.

Secondly, because I'm a veteran Dead Space 1 player, I pretty much know what to expect from Dead Space 2. They use the same scare tactics and don't do anything with this game to throw veteran Dead Space players' expectations for a loop. So instead of jumping whenever a space zombie crashes through a door or something, I just calmly raise up my plasma pistol and shoot what jumped at me.

Maybe it's because I play Call of Duty too much. In COD multiplayer, you have enemy players jumping out in front of you all the time, and you've got a lot less time than they give you in Dead Space to shoot back. So these monsters feel like they're moving in slow motion to me.

Did you get it and find it doesn't work on the Xbox 360? =L
Man, I gotta try and sell this basically useless game and buy the PS2 version >.<;
