Posts: 4,799 Group: Former Monarchs Member #7,312 Joined: April 10, 2008 Playstation Network ID: Allbowdown Xbox Live Gamertag: allbowdown	I'm not really a FF fan and I know a couple friends who are pretty into the game but were really disappointed with XIII... despite whatever anyone may think about it, it looks like SquareEnix is making a spinoff of the game and while I was partially confused by it, at least it looks pretty and has nice music in the trailer. ^^

I really don't know anyone interested in this and I certainly am not considering XIII was so terrible. I am not really a big fan of FF but I liked FF7 & 8 on the PS1 and Crisis Core on PSP. I got XIII and it was just way too linear and not fun. FF14 was a disappointment to most also. Most of the fans are saying that Versus XIII is the only hope for the main series. Hopefully it redeems this fabled franchise.

Chaos Emerald Posts: 691 Group: S Rank Knight Member #746 Joined: March 19, 2007	The closest I have gotten to playing any of the FF games, was playing kingdom hearts... Yes, that is a LONG way to go. However, my dad got me FFXIII. My jaw dropped when I saw it was a three disk game. THREE DISKS! Mass Effect 2 only had TWO disks(for the xbox, mind you.) However, the story of FFXIII is kinda... confusing. I have never played any of the FF games, thus I thought it was going to be something to KH... Boy was I wrong. Anyways, I MIGHT want to get this FFXIII-2... I mean, once I finish the first one, which is taking me a while cause... I don't know... I just want to rush through the game, find out happens, and so forth. Spoiler: click to toggle Is Lighting wearing Odin's armor in that trailer? I mean, it looks JUST like his armor, no? And I'm guessing this will some how explain why each character gets that kind of Eidolons. Or maybe the Eidolons are like, their past selves or something? I don't know. Mind you, I haven't finished the game yet, so I don't know what is the deal with he Eidolons. All I know is each character gets one, I think. Anyways, hopefully they will make it more fun. Maybe make it more like KH, game play wise of course. Even though I was told all FF games were similar to what I've played in FFXIII.shrugs Ehh, I'll wait for more info I suppose. However, Versus XIII will be like a darker gritty KH. I mean without the Disney, but the gameplay will be the same since it's being developed by the same person who created KH.

Which leads me to believe that they are kinda restarting FF, or rather, starting a new series, seeing as how Cloud and the others aren't in it. Again, never kept up with FF games, FFXIII is the FIRST one I've very played. Still, seems pretty cool. Maybe this will tie in with the other FF's or something. shrugs Also, thank you Neo Metallix, I shall check out this Versus XIII game.
