Although Sonic 3D Blast on Genesis just had AWESOME music so I'd go for that one as my #1. While the game wasn't great the music sure made up for it!!

However, Colours' soundtrack also contains a significant amount of win. Here's my favourite track from it: Geez, I'm missing out on Sonic music. --; I say Sonic Unleashed, but that's because I haven't played any games beyond that title.

I still purely for nostalgia's sake though that Sonic 2 and 3 are really special to me and hold a lot of happy memories so those will always be my favourites but there are some amazing pieces on modern pieces because obviously now they can have full orchestras performing music for them.

I don't know what I liked about it so much but that music gets stuck in my head and gives me a total nostalgia trip. It's so nice.

Sonic 2 does get honorable mention, though. Keep in mind this is just of the games I've actually played.
