This is a general thread for what you think you might be getting, know you might be getting, or really want for Christmas this year!

Today, I tricked my cousin into giving me the receipt to Best Buy today (I know they went there, and I tricked her by telling them my other cousin wanted it to check the price on something). They bought me Sonic Colors ($50), Goldeneye 007 Wii ($70), (With shirt and Golden Controller), and Kinect ($150)!

Along with buying a used copy of Resident Evil 5 there as well ($14), and the $250 I'm going to get in Christmas money from my uncle (most likely to get Donkey Kong Country Returns and other things), the total money spent for me this year during the Christmas season is:

Bum bum be dum bum de dum be bum~

$534!

Sorry, I had to work; holiday rush left me "out of it."
Indeed, there is nothing more repulsive than these monsters that defy nature and are known by the name of witcher, as they are the offspring of foul sorcery and witchcraft. They are unscrupulous scoundrels without conscience and virtue, veritable creatures from hell capable only of taking lives. They have no place amongst decent and honest folk.

Wacky Races was awesome. So it was the good kind.

Eh, I made out better than I thought I would.
-2 hoodies, 1 shirt, & 1 set of pajamas,
-A paint can of cookies
-Sonic Colors
-$85
-And from my parents, I got a belt and a 32-oz bag of assorted, cheap gummi candies.
:]

Also (sorta')worth mentioning: My brother, Will, gave me some basic art supplies that my other brother, Pat, gave him for Christmas last year, which Will gave me while Pat was watching as a bit of a joke.
And because he never got any use out of it...

I got nothing, same as the past few Christmases. lol I really don't care though, over the year I've bought pretty much all the stuff I could possibly want and this point I'd prefer stuff that money can't buy....

I got most of the stuff I wanted, I write big lists. Can't go wrong with having big lists, because if you can't find something, there's always another thing to compensate.

I got:
A bunch of snacks/sweets -- Pocky, Panda cookies, Ramune, Cookies, Candy
Manga -- Mainly Chibi Vampire and Love Hina
DS Games -- Sonic Colors, Mario and Sonic at the Olympic winter games, Super Scribblenauts, Heart Gold//Soul Silver
Clothes
A little Shadow figure on his motorcycle
I have a Wacom tablet coming in the mail.

I think that's pretty much it.

Because I'm not a materialistic person, I asked for very little: I got some chocolate, I got a couple of DVDs(Iron Man 2 disc edition, Bill Bailey Dandelion Mind, something else), a couple of books, and that's about it.

I don't like these threads, they always seem to come across as a contest of "who got more at Xmas??" and it saddens me. The fact anyone got anything is what should count, not how much. And I wonder just how many people actually went and returned the favour, and spent over $500 on people? Looking back through this thread I can probably guess who has been giving and not just receiving, and this isn't a dig at those not old enough to gain employment either.

Christmas humbug? Far from it. I just think some people should see this time of year a bit more for what it's turned into over the years - a chance to share good times with those close with you, and not an opportunity to fill your bedrooms with more useless junk.

Thoughts/comments welcome, flames to be left at the door.

I object to your claims
I got;

Sonic Colors Wii (Yay!)

A limited edition red Wii that came with both Wii Sports and New Super Mario Bros. Wii (For when I have to go to some job training thing for eighteen months, so I have a few more forms of entertainment.)

A set of pajamas

Gift cards for Amazon, iTunes, as well as point cards for the Wii and Playstation Network

A book from the Redwall series, Triss

A bunch of candy, all of the chocolate persuasion

A wall calender featuring some very adorable puppies ^_^

And, the piece de resistance.....

A nineteen-inch Magnavox LCD TV with a built-in DVD player.

I was not expecting that last one. :D

I bought my cousin a moderately expensive CD with my Christmas money, if that counts.

You speak the truth man.
Christmas ain't just for adding more junk to your closet. I'm more then happy to what little cash I was given, and a few pair of new handcuffs.
I spent whole-heartedly a new Blue-ray/Dvd player for my parents. Thinking that they have given me as much, it's time to do something in return.
But what's probably the most important, is that you feast at the same table, and cherish what little time there is, during Christmas.

Agreed, my good fellow. I don't really ask for much around Christmas, usually it'll be a gaming console of some sort (if there's one out that I've really been wanting for a while) or simply a game or two. In fact, this year I didn't ask for anything since there was nothing I really wanted. Still, mum has a habit of pulling out a little something for us, which is always a nice surprise.

For me it's one of the few times where the family gets together and we dag around for the day, which is pretty nice. Heck, the best part of my Christmas this year was mucking around with some of the guys here in Casino Park, not the recieving of presents. Stuff is only good for so long, but if you get some really strong bonds going with people that you enjoy hangning around with the can last a lifetime. And really, ain't that really the best gift of all?

That said, here's my haul for this year. :P

- $150 in cash. (100 from my Mum, the other 50 from Gramps)
- A flannel shirt thing. (It's main colour is pink. I don't really think I'll be wearing it. Not exactly my style, anyway. ^^;)
- A Mystery Gift (Got it from my second cousins but I haven't opened it yet. When I find it I will. xD)

That's pretty much it. I might be getting an updated Wi-Fi thing so I can play games online, but that's the only other thing on the list. Not much, but I don't mind~
