I am intrigued by this article mostly because I wasn't aware Japan were still developing the games and if they tried to bring a new DreamCast out whilst this would be interesting, I don't think it would get a place in the market because Sony and Microsoft would bulk up to try and shove it aside. Gary perhaps it's just because I work with games but our store gets a lot of DreamCast games traded in at this time of year and during the summer and they sell dirt cheap (if I remember right they were about Ł1 a game) and that was them in their boxes too. So... they're not THAT uncommon. They do disappear rapidly though due to their prices. The consoles are like gold dust but the games are often enough.

This is what I'd like to see because it would be awesome having a new next-gen console to give Sony and Microsoft a run for their money... (Not including nintendo as it copped out for the casual gamers).

That's a VERY big statement to be making. I know that success and failure is hard to measure but that is why people do opinion polls and such they find out if it will be plausible and measure out risk and such to try and not lose all their money. LOL

I don't know the first thing about console prices these days as I don't follow up on the older consoles. I think that Sega would really give Nintendo, Microsoft and Sony (especially Nintendo) a run for their money if they brought out a Dreamcast 2, I doubt they would but if they did it would be quite immense and would certainly make the competitors work a little harder. Although realistically I imagine Sony or MS would try and buy Sega's console off BEFORE anything could be released.

Hmm, you know I think that if a Dreamcast 2 came out it would encourage the other console firms to pick up their game a little bit and actually put in a bit more effort, I mean given that Sony and Microsoft have said they don't intend to bring out any other consoles for a while I would like to think a new console would encourage them to work harder.

I didn't realise that the SNES emulation wasn't all that good though Snow is it just glitchy or is there another problem I am unaware of? Hey now some of the Neo Geo games were amazing! I loved playing some of those games on my PC!

There is nothing wrong with difficult games, I mean I am sure dreamcast owners are a bit of a niche market so the makers of these games are trying to please the owners of the console and yet provide something with a bit of a challenge for others to enjoy. That does sound quite disappointing about the SNES games on the emulator, are you sure it isn't just that one emulator that is a bit crap or is it with any emulator for the SNES console? So unfortunate.
