Christmas is back again

Even if this ain't something out of the extraordinary. I must admit, that the news about a game developer, not giving up on the old Dreamcast, is a must to be shared.
Link to the actual information.

Redspotgames. These are the ones behind, this rather unsuspecting news.
I wonder what they will gain from this. Sure there are a few who have kept their consoles. But to actually be able to get a new game, after 11 year of absence.

Discuss.

Currently attempting to return.
I still have mine.
Me and my brother still play Sonic Adventure 1 and 2 and others games from time to time.
But I've never eared about anyone still selling any dreamcast games for ages.

I still can't use this.

I know Japan's been developing Dreamcast games long after the console became defunct, so this doesn't seem all that surprising.

Well it hasn't been announced, or brought out to the local newspaper until now.
What makes Japan keeping it so secretively then. Or I may just be looking in the wrong direction. I guess it's a surprise for some of us, Bliz. ;)

I don't know where I'm going.
Intriguing article. Reading it only made me want to see another Dreamcast system. Dreamcast 360, maybe?

This, Plus;

I still own my Dreamcast, but c'mon guys, no-one is going to buy Dreamcast games nowadays when you can get games for the more Popular Consoles easier, not trying to diss the DC or anything.

. . .

*giggles* Damn I remember the DreamCast, I was going to get one if I got a brace fitted, I didn't get the brace fitted and thus didn't get the DreamCast.

I am intrigued by this article mostly because I wasn't aware Japan were still developing the games and if they tried to bring a new DreamCast out whilst this would be interesting, I don't think it would get a place in the market because Sony and Microsoft would bulk up to try and shove it aside.

Gary perhaps it's just because I work with games but our store gets a lot of DreamCast games traded in at this time of year and during the summer and they sell dirt cheap (if I remember right they were about £1 a game) and that was them in their boxes too. So... they're not THAT uncommon. They do disappear rapidly though due to their prices. The consoles are like gold dust but the games are often enough.

I object to your claims
Huh, my brother got a Dreamcast last Christmas. Perhaps if he spent more time playing it, I might be arsed to tell him about this.

Haha. Yeah Blaire don't share awesome information if he doesn't use it. That'd be a waste of your time and energy.

How Ungrateful, I may have told you this, but whenever I get something retro, which is close to never. I always play and cherish it, Blaire's Brother gets retro stuff for Christmas, which is something which will never happen to me, and just can't be a**ed!

Anyways, Unnecesary Rant Over! I wish the Developers Luck at this. Good Luck Boys. (And Girls.)

Ironically, he actually prefers retro games and was the one who asked for the Dreamcast in the first place.........

... Huh. Certainly seems like an odd move. I can't say I understand why they would decide to manufacture for an out of date console, but I'm not a Japanese company I guess.

Nah! They ain't Japanese.
Basically one of the few European traces of a once lost console. As I never suspected much different from Japan. I mean, it was they who created it, in the first place.
Not sure how much you'll receive out from the video. But here's at least the main-site to Redspotgames, and their game that should be released sometime next year during Q2.

Sturmwind. That's the link to Redspotgames if you was wondering. :D

XP That's what I get for not doing my homework. But from what I can see, it looks... Interesting to say the least.
