Sandopolis Act 2

The investigator, a tallish, fair-skinned human that looked like he couldn't be much more that twenty-one, ran a hand through his copper-colored hair and sighed as he emerged from a cave off Green Hill. There was a reason he hated anonymous tips; they rarely paid off, and even when they did, it was never in a good way. For once, this was a relatively painless dud tip. He turned his eyes, the same coppery color as his hair, towards the sky; his ride wasn't due back for several hours, unfortuntately. He thought he heard someone nearby, which he figured was odd, but he had time to check it out. |

(I will be Chaos the fox. Also don't forget JDGA is in this.) Chaos the fox was nearby. She spotted someone. She sighed. Bet the guy's a jerk. I bet he's cocky and overly self-confident. She thought bitterly. She instead of saying that outloud to the figure, she walked up to the figure and sat down next to him. Her cheeks were the color red now. She blushed. She never did very well around boys. Chaos' fur was the color light bkue and she had pink hair dropping down to her shoulders. She had green eyes like Sonic, for some reason. She sighed, moving her legs forward and back, hoping the action would get the figure to notice her. She looked down at the ground, nervous. She had butterflies in her stomach. |

Out of the corner of his eye, the investigator, Taylor, saw the fox who'd sat down next to where he stood. "Oh..." he said, a little surprised. "I, er, wasn't expecting anyone to be here..." He sat down in the grass, looking up at the clouds. "Nice day, isn't it?" He wasn't so good with small talk. He admitted, the fox was pretty cute; and her nervous fidgeting, believe it or not, only seemed to amplify that impression. Oh, wow. This is gonna get awkward real fast. |

(:P yes it will get awkward, Nik.) Chaos noticed Taylor speak and she turned to him, her green eyes glowing with warmth. "Oh..." he said, a little surprised. "I, er, wasn't expecting anyone to be here..." "I only came here because my friends said to meet them here. It seems they are not here though," She sighed, her eyes now filled with dissappointment. She then tried to cheer up and nodded. "Nice day, isn't it?" Chaos nodded once again. "Yes, it is quite a nice day," She said, turning her head forward. She then turned her head up towards the sky, the sun gleaming on her light blue fur. She was doing quite well being around a boy (man?), considering she wasn't very good with small talk. She sighed, smiling. She still had her head up towards the sky. |

"Yeah, that's a bummer. Least you got friends you can talk to whenever," Taylor said. He unclipped a bottle of water that hung from a belt loop on his jeans, opened it, and took a drink. "I'm not so lucky; PI work just..." He struggled to find the words, failed, sighed, and took another swig of water. "Name's Taylor, by the way. What's yours?" |

Taylor's face went red as he caught on to Chaos laughing at his failure to articulate. "Any suggestions? I'm new to the area, came out here from Station Square because somebody said I'd find something I was looking for here," he said. He muttered something about prank-calling weasels right after that. "Didn't find it, but the spelunking was worth the trip on its own." |

I'm new to the area, came out here from Station Square because somebody said I'd find something I was looking for here," Chaos nodded. "We could always go to the casino area and hang there. I usually do that with my best friends," She told Taylor. "Didn't find it, but the spelunking was worth the trip on its own." Chaos then bursted out laughing. "W-who...s-says...spelunking anymore?!" She asked between laughs. She was having a laughter attack, it seems. |

I live somewhere in the Mystic Ruins,'' She told Taylor. She sighed, and they were both eventually at the casino. Moving out of the way so Taylor could go in, she smiled. "You go first," She said. |

As Taylor stepped into the casino, he had to shade his eyes against the neon lighting. That and the noise were two major reasons he never really was into gambling. Modern casinos were too flashy. It would take several minutes for Taylor to get used to the change in lighting and volume of sound. |

"I'm fine, just... reminded why I don't like casinos," Taylor said. "A bit of a headache, nothin' to worry about." It was nice that Chaos was concerned for him; he definitely figured she was good company to be with... He fell pensive. She seemed like someone he would like to get closer to, but with his life being such a complicated mess, at least half of recent events wouldn't be believed even if seen... He doubted his chances. Not to mention the literal disaster his previous relationship had ended in. |

Taylor snapped out of his reverie. "That, and, well... I'm not good at games of chance," he said, shrugging. "I'll give 'em another shot if you want, just don't expect to see me win..." (Frankly, I'm no longer sure. He's somewhere in his mid-twenties. I think.) |
