It has been a LONG time since it's touched the Roleplay section of this site, I don't think I've done anything since the end of the 3rd tournament since I was all burned out and because Talancir's Millstone of Time has effectively stopped.. Part of me misses this part of the site. xD But anyway I was having a look around and I wanted to bring up a couple things. 1- Talancir has been really busy and has barely been active on the site for quite some time, he was also the effective judge of the 4th Tournament and I don't see any progress getting done, so I was wondering if we could maybe get a mod or RP Knight interested in taking the reigns for the next one so we can maybe get it planned out and running by March. The Tournament usually is fun for our members and brings a lot of people together, though I would recommend sticking to a 16 person format, since my 32 was harder to fill up, unless of course you'd like to try some sort of fancy Triple Threat or Four Way style matches in a 20-24 RPer format. I just figure that it would be good, especially since I am trying to set up a cross forum tournament with a site a friend of mine runs that we recently affiliated with, and I'd like to have our team fresh for that. =P 2- For a short period of time I used to run a open world sort of Freestyle roleplay where members could go and just "GTA around" doing what they wanted and hanging out in character. It did pretty well for itself but once I stopped paying attention to it, it sort of faded out. I was figuring maybe we could start up another open world sort of RP for members to post in and not have to worry about following a set story or posting up a half a page of detail to feel like they have to keep up with others who may be doing so. Just a little hang out where we could maybe apply certain "events" where there's some sort of disturbance and everyone just works together on it before going back to casual roleplaying. I think it would probably be a nice little feature to have back. I'll just wait to see what everyone here thinks and if you all like the ideas, maybe we can put the gears in motion to get some stuff done on them, and I'd gladly make myself available for advice in getting certain things going again. |

Oooh. I like this idea. I like the idea of the rp doing whatever you want thing. I've always wanted to do that. And someone else taking over the tournament seems good. But obviously I can't do it. I've never been in a tournament, nor did I care to see what the fighters did in battle. Anyways, I like the ideas. |

I'm a little 'ehh' on the tournament part, I think there is someone better suited for that. However, the free roam rp thingy I can handle. I was actually thinking of presenting something similar to that, so I guess great minds think a like.  I'd be welling to help the the free roam bit, so count me in on that.

Well, I don't think I'm cut out for running the next tourney, especially since I'll be in a job training program by then and as such won't be on the site much. However, I do like the idea of a Free Roam RP.  I may be able to at least offer ideas.

I was going to be a judge for the tournament, but then I unexpectedly left, so don't know what to say about the tournament. :/ As for the free-roam roleplay idea, that sounds like a good idea. I have only done maybe say 1-2 rp's on the forum and I would love to do just a fun, care-free roleplay. |

Well, I'm no Mod or RP Knight, but then again I wouldn't be very good at organizing a Tourney anyway. However, if Tal doesn't come back soonish we may need someone to step in. But I'm sure he'll be back in time. At any rate, you've reminded that I need to make a decent character for it. xP As for the free roam RP idea, sounds good to me. I'd probably join if one happened. |D |

I'm willing to give tournament judging another shot if y'need someone to fill a gap. And the free-roaming RP sounds like a good idea, though I personally won't touch it with a twenty foot pole 'til one of the RPs I'm already in disappears off my list. *points to sig* ^_^;; |
