Granted the game is still pretty rough around the edges but looks to have some pretty good potential for a fan driven game.

I especially liked his article on jump height in the Sonic 1 special stages. My weak netbook can't play it, though... Sigh...

Physics, however, didn't appeal to me as much as the build in Sonic 4 did. The level design isn't phenomenal either. The game, to me, seems to be more eye candy then anything else.

Sonic Crossroads 6 years ago, I began a fangame project called "Pure Shadow". I cancelled the project due to lack of time and other priorities. Now that I'm in college, and have loads of more time, I found the file and began to pick it up again. After refreshing my memory of all the coding put into the engine, I decided to use it to write a new project. Drawing out a new plot and new gimmicks for the project, I decided to rename this project called Sonic Crossroads. This project is going to be completed in Game Maker 8 PRO coded by myself and my friend who goes by the alias, MastaaFrederick. Because of our lack of experience in many aspects to increase enjoyability (such as music, artistry, animation, etc.), we want to develop a small team to work on this project. Anyone who is interested, please message me. On top of these things, we want to create a new antagonist for the story. We, MastaaFrederick and I, need a whole new character concept. We want the most creative fan character we can find, and create a sprite sheet for this character. We would like to find a character via messenger. Demo for the fangame coming soon.

My sentiments, exactly. It's gorgeous, for sure, but nothing special gameplay-wise. It could use a homing attack for some of its enemy placement. Also, merge plz?

GO!" Either way tho, we've had about 50 bazillion topics titled "Sonic Adventure 3" so I guess we can all agree that sometimes we just miss older existing topics on certain subjects.

Of course, that was just a demo though, so it's not too bad. A shame this project has been put on hold by SEGA, I wouldn't have minded to see the finished project. Oh well.
