Misa looked at the ground when he asked that question. Just thinking about the whole thing made her sad, as well a bit angry. "Nothing..." She spoke out with confidence. "Nothing will, cause I'm going to save her." She replied with determination. However, her little speak was only a way to dodge the question, which would leave her to not think about the horrid death she might have to watch again. Even though it wasn't smart keeping information from someone who is helping you, she had a reason for doing so. |

Taylor realized his poor choice of words. "Right, right. We're gonna gank this thing," he said, following Misa. Under his breath he added, "Just trying to figure out what we're ganking." Saber and Cable would be hearing footsteps from the way they had come to the junction, and a LOT of them. There was chatter in an unfamiliar language, and it was all getting closer. |

Misa realized that she was being a bit rude. She lowered her head once more as she started to confess. "To be honest, you already asked me that question. I figured I'd do something different this time, to change the event of my sister dieing." She informed, letting him know that this wasn't the first time she went back in time, which would explain how she knew they were coming through that door. "Why does HE get to be the damn hero?" Cable asked, trying to start a conversation with Saber as they waited for something to happen. Saber just looked down the hallway Taylor and Misa walked down, shrugging as she couldn't careless. "Hmm?" Cable uttered, turning around as his ears picked up something. "You just noticed it now?" Saber asked, to which Cable just shrugged. "I specialize in seeing, not hearing." Cable comments, trying to think of an excuse why she hear the footsteps first and he didn't. "How many you think their are?" He asked, cracking his knuckles as if getting ready to fight. "We'll find out soon enough." She replied, trying to make out what they were saying as they got closer. |

Several sources of footsteps and chatter broke off from the main group and went down other corridors not leading to this junction, where four "people", dressed in security uniforms and holding odd, presumably energy-projection, weapons, came into the junction and pointed their weapons at Saber and Cable as a fifth arrived. The final arrival, dressed in a dark blue business suit with a matching tie over a white shirt, held up his hand to signal these people to not fire. "Hmm. With all the dead in this place, I wasn't expecting to see anyone alive," the stranger said, resting his left hand on what was unmistakably a sword's hilt. He had more than a little resemblance to Taylor, only his hair was neatly trimmed and black, his skin several shades lighter, and his ears were pointed. But what really caught attention were his luminously violet eyes. Taking his hand from the sword hilt, he pulled a cigarette from a pack in his trouser pocket, and a lighter from his suit coat. Lighting the cigarette and taking a drag, he asked, "So who are you, and what is your business in this place?" Taylor nodded, following Misa. "Guess I'm fighting blind. Hasn't been the first time..." |

Cable and Saber looked at the man for a moment, almost in disbelief that this guy resembled Taylor, a lot in fact. "He isn't as good looking as him though." Cable spoke to Saber, as if they were both thinking the same thing. "I beg to differ, he is cuter and far more easy to rest my eyes on... And charming." Saber replied to Cable, not really showing any emotions, only speaking them. "We're with a special task force known as the Spirit Squad. But even that wouldn't get us all the way out here. We were 'hired' by a man named Taylor to investigate this place... Other then that, we're not doing much here, just keeping this door open until he comes back with the Time Counter, and her sister..." He informed, not really caring how much of what he said they would get. Who the heck were these guys anyways, and how did they get here? ========= Misa sighs as she shook her head a bit. "I'm sorry, I just..." She starts off, then suddenly raised her head up as if something jumped into her mind. "Oh! We're here! Turn left!" She tells him, almost forgetting that they needed to make a left to head for the cell. "I don't know what they call the beast, but I know its fairly big." She starts off, not wanting to relive those memories once more. Not to mention every time she watched her sister get killed she would throw herself back in time to stop it from happening, so getting a good look wasn't on her 'to do' list. |

"You do not, by any chance, mean the so-called 'crossworld investigator,' Taylor Hiss, now do you?" the stranger inquired, though he bit down on the cigarette. "You have a most dangerous client if you do, sir, madame... You would do well to abandon him before continued association leads to your demise. He is deranged, erratic... looking to avenge a nonexistent crime against himself... overall, entirely untrustworthy." While his voice remained calm, those blacklit eyes of the stranger seethed with rage. "It can only be so big; the compound isn't that spacious. Should only take one clean shot. Or did I try that? Do we have time to go over tactics I tried... 'before'?" Taylor asked as they rounded the corner. The perplexity would only get worse before it got better. "How much longer do you figure we have?" |

Cable and Saber were a bit confused, all though Saber failed to show any emotions as Cable just raised his eye brow in question. "Huh... Yup, that sounds about right, hes our guy." Cable states, ignoring everything else of course since Taylor never showed such signs to them. If anything, Cable and Saber were the reckless and insane ones, more so Cable though. "I think YOU have the wrong people to try and sway. So, if you don't mind, your distracting me from my door guarding duties. You can wait here with us, but shut your mouth, or you can follow your twin down this hallway and get lost, maybe even eaten. Maybe if you yell loud enough I'll pretend to hear you and help out." He adds, crossing his arms as he looked down the hallway where Taylor and Misa went. "Not a damn sound yet. Not even a spirit... What the hell is taking them so long." He thought to himself as Saber kept her cold heartless eyes on the man. ============== Misa thought for a moment, recollecting the information she had form visiting the past more then once. "Your last dieing words were something about a diamond shaped mark on the beast's throat." She replied as she continued to think. "Oh! And ummm... Well... The beast that kills my sister is different from the one that kill yous. That is why I ran to the door to stop you from going the wrong way." She tells him. Suddenly, she started to blush wildly as a memory popped into her mind. "And uh... Well... Y-you have soft lips..." She shyly confessed, looking away as her cheeks grew red. "I'm sorry, you were dieing and it seemed fitting to kiss you after you saved him." She adds, blushing more as she thought about that little scene that will never happen. |

"Well. I suppose there is nothing for us in this place. I suppose I can help you help him, since I've no doubt we will cross paths again, and we do seek the same objects. You are quite close, but be warned: what you face are no 'ordinary' demons. They are creatures that defy reality itself, creations of an entity called 'Jester,'" the stranger said. "He will know how to best them, but do you two? Perhaps he shouldn't have left you on your own... If you see him again, tell him Puck said hello." He turned to one of his guards, barked orders in the strange language from before, and he and his guards left the junction. Space seemed to twist as they left... Taylor slowed down a little in surprise at what Misa had just said. He blinked, then shook his head. Had to take care of the rescue first. "Yeah. Alright," he said, his voice taking on a slight bashful quality. "How close are we?" |

"Puck?" Cable comments, watching them leave as he uncrossed his arms. "What kind of name is Puck?" "Its better then Cable." Saber replied, leaning against the doorway as she watched an odd warping of some kind, though it wasn't something too eye catching. "Huh... Well, lets go deliver that message." Cable tells her and dragged her away from the door by her arms. Saber narrowed her eyes as she pulled back a bit. "We have to-" "You think a damn door is going to stop me form going through it, locked or unlocked?" He tells her, which was typical of Cable to say something like that. She wasn't worried about not opening the door, but rather how much time it would take to open it. As well, they were walking blind as they didn't know where Taylor was. "Stop being so worried, I know exactly where Taylor is." Cable informs her as he took off his eye patch. His looks around for a bit, then starts to walk forward with a smirk. Saber simply followed, almost forgetting about his spirit eye. ======= Misa looked around for a moment, her blushing was settling. She stopped and gasped a bit confused as her eyes watered a bit in fear and confusion. "We... We passed it..." She tells him. "I don't understand... We shouldn't have passed it..." She tells him as she starts to think some more. "Could there be a warp that is preventing us from-" "HEY!!!" A loud female could be hear from the wall right next to them. "I'm in this room!! Get me out!!" She shouts again, though there wasn't a room but a wall there. "Come on! I see you, ya goofy looking man! Get your butt in here and open this cell door!" The girl shouts again, to which Misa sighs and shakes her head. "Yup, thats Minso alright." Misa comments, shaking her a bit more. "But why is there a wall here instead of a door?" She asked, confused and puzzled. |

Minso pouts as she crossed her arms, rolling her eyes as she spoke. "Great, I'm going to be saved by a idiot." "Minso! Please don't insult him! He is here to help you!" Misa pleaded, cupping her hands as she shouted back at the wall. "How can someone as blind as him save ME!?" She shouts back, banging on the door as the lock rattled. Little did she know the rattling lock would appear to be the only thing showing the this fake wall. "But we can't see the door on our side. We already said-" "I heard what you said! That still doesn't change the fact that I'M going to end up saving HIS hid!" She shouts back with frustration. She then sighs as she took a step back and calmed down. "Look, I don't want you saving me... I'll just end up watching the both of you die anyways." Minso adds as she crossed her arms and looked at the ground. Misa was confused by her words. She also forgot that Minso could travel forward in time, but only remain there for a limited time only before returning back to her present time. "The lock is to your right, about two feet from the ground." Minso finally tells him as she waits to see if her instructions were good enough. |

Taylor zeroed in on the noise and the brief failure of the illusion. "Gotcha. Stand back, I'm kind of in a hurry," he said, grasping the lock with his left hand. He sent a surge of flame into the lock, causing it to glow red-hot. "One..." he muttered, taking his left hand away, then blasting it with a surge from his right, simultaneously melting it and dislodging it from where it stuck into the wall. "Two! Okay. Bitch later, move now. Finally caught on to what's causing all this distortion." |

Minso simply nods her head and raced towards Taylor, not expect for him to actually be that close. She ran through the door and swung it open, only to run right into Taylor and knock him down as she fell on him. She squinted her eyes a bit as she fell on him, only to open her eyes and stare at Taylor for a moment. "...Um... Thanks..." She tells him, forgetting she was laying on top of him as this little scene became awkward. Misa simply watched, not sure if she should help them up or let them have their moment, or rather, let Minso have this awkward moment for being so mean before. |

Before Taylor could do so much as take a breath, he found the wind knocked out of him as Minso bowled him over. The situation was again awkward, but not entirely unpleasant. "Er... glad to help," he replied. Minso's eyes were really close... But a gurgling sound in the distance snapped Taylor from that reverie. "Yeah... we're not in the clear yet, though." He was suddenly acutely aware of the edge of his rifle's barrel digging into his back where he had landed on it. |

Once Taylor spoke of more trouble, Misa quickly rushed over to them and helped Minso off of Taylor. "See, I told you I'd need to be saving your hid now." Minso comments, as if they weren't only inches about from each other a moment ago. "What do you think it is, Taylor?" Misa asked, clinging onto Minso as if she would protect her. It was obvious who was the oldest, though they were twins. |
