I would the chance to see a Sonic anime just like Capcom did with Mega Man lwith OVA but it ended up being boring and annoying very quickly. I can understand the frustration with fans, I wanted to see Mega Man go out and fight robots but instead I get for half the movie, Mega Man gettign a tour of Japan by a kid that no one cares about. Similar to Sonic X, the premise of story was Sonic and friends landing into the real world. It would intersting to see Sonic trying to adjust in an environment that he isn't accustomed to but instead the story was mostly about Chris, a character that irritates fans because he got most of the atention in the series. While opinons may vary, a lot of fans don't like Chris too much and the plot started to get less coherent as the show went on. It barely touched on any of the games prior to SA1 and it didn't really satick with the premise as the 'real' world started to get less real as the show wnet on. What do you think about Sonic X? |

I hate it. Hateithateithateit. Chris is annoying as hell, voices were poorly done, and artwork and animation did not impress me. I would love to see another Sonic anime tho', so long as it is done right and either sticks with he games or stays true to its own storyline. |

The japanese version was ok, not great but ok. Then 4kids got there evil claws into it, it got screwed up after that. |

I actually like the MegaMan analogy, it's pretty fitting. The only difference is, capcom can also get it right. Like you said. I think on paper, it was a great idea. A Sonic Anime would be great as long as they execute it correctly. Which I think even the Japanese dub failed to do. Basing it off the games, with no human involvement until adventure when they appear, would have been great. but instead "HEY LETS THROW IN A HUMAN BOY THAT KIDS CAN RELATE TO". Even when they went back to Mobius the little brat had to follow. That, and I think it sort of de-railed from the games near season 2. Suddenly they're in space for some odd reason, and hey lets add this love interest for Tails for no apparent reason. Bleh, do not want. |

I found some of the episodes a little good, like the episodes based off from the games. All other episodes sucked tohugh, this one episode where Sonic and the others went back to Mobius though made me cry. That is, until I found out what happened. :/ I watch it sometimes whenever it comes on, most of the time I don't really watch it all that much, though. I think I guess this was a pretty good idea, I guess. Just some episodes sucked. |

Ok, let me throw in my two pence in there (What?) Sonic X when originally revealed a few years before it first aired, it looked like it was going to be very Epic indeed, Speed, Action and lots more! What's not to like? But then, they decided to make some changes such as adding a Human as a Main Character so that the Oh but the problems didn't just end there, no no, they just went on and on, apparently, the gang have magically teleported to random destinations including ON A BILLBOARD! That just spells "Just put it in there to progress the story." So yeah, the Gang magically wind up back together with THE HUMAN BOY! So then they go on with Robotnik's Epic...ally Repetitive Schemes to steal the Chaos Emeralds and conquer Earth. His plans fail and we go onto the next season... Game Storylines, ARE YOU BEING SERIOUS RIGHT NOW SONIC PROJECT?!! I've already played the games, I don't need to watch them in Anime form. They even toy around with the Game Storylines to make them that wee bit different, if you're going to take Game Storylines then at least don't mess with them and to make it worse, the edit it to add the Cursed Chris! They even try to execute Sonic Battle at the end and they screw up with that too. And we finish that season off with some mushy SonAmy stuff when they manage to get back to Then they make a third Season, this one was actually pretty good with only one major flaw I noticed, THEY BROUGHT BACK CHRIS!!! PLEASE TELL ME YOU'RE NOT BEING SERIOUS RIGHT NOW SONIC PROJECT!! Anyways, the story has been done before, basically in a nutshell, someone comes to main cast and asks if they can help out, main cast except and begin a search, but Season 3 was done pretty well I must say, I liked the Storyline, I liked the whole Alien War thing, So overall, my opinion? It was a good idea but the way it was done was INCREDIBLY POOR, especially in the first Two Seasons, Season 3 was done pretty well in my opinion but still had it's flaws, but the one thing the whole series did wrong was even think about making that FREAKING KID!!! Agreed, never liked the Kid. He is useless and steals characters rolls, oh and also ruining Game Storylines. Plus Much, Much more. |

The Chris hate is overdone in the fandom, as is the hate for almost everything else. He's got multiple narrative purposes, from adding an empathetic element to being the ground and voice of reason for Sonic's foreign habits. And as far as the Japanese dub is concerned, his characterization is quite tolerable; He understands that a lot of his self-esteem issues stem from loneliness, and it is in that self-recognition that he sets goals of being a better person, guided by Sonic and the others, of course. This is not to excuse the poor writing that went into his character in the first two seasons, (although honestly, the rest of the cast wasn't immune from that and you all know it), but to demonstrate why calling him "useless" is merely slinging a buzzword around instead of an actual effort at making a point. When you look at Season 3, half of the complaints brought up about his character disappear under the guise of him being written as a mentally-functioning adult whose rationality and scientific prowess means he's less likely to behave as an annoying kid. Anyhoo, that's my two-pence on Chris. He's ultimately an okay character who doesn't get a free pass from the overall problems of the show because he isn't an established character in the franchise. I may write up my opinion on the show in general later on if I'm in the mood. xP |

Tails' voice sucked in the English dub. The character himself I kinda liked, but his voice was awful. Not as bad as Cream's though. My god.... >_> As for the show itself; Eh, it was okay. Not horrible, but not something I would watch on a regular basis. |
