I know i'm probably the best person to talk about this. I'm pretty sure no one else suggested it, but if they did, they obviously didn't get very far. This has been a long time coming, basically, ever since the very development of modern cell phone technology. I love how you can whip out your phone, press a bookmark button, and be on Facebook no matter WHERE you are in the world: school, in bed (hah, no innuendo intended), on the john, in church, at the receptionists' office, in line at the grocery store, in the doctor's waiting room... ANYWHERE! And it loads with super efficiency. Now, call me crazy, but why can't there be =SB= Mobile? Why? Because even the most advanced smart phone won't load this site efficiently. Hell, my PSP barely does it. But that's an easy explanation: It wasn't meant to be there. Because no one's done it. But it's got an even easier solution: We need someone to make it mobile. That way, it can be available on most if not all smart phones, for people who subscribe. Call me crazy, but i thought that this was a splendid idea. I personally am a very busy kitty. I don't have time to go home and hop on a PC, log in, and check up on everything, you know? So i'd like to be able to be at dance rehearsal and during a water break whip out my smart phone and check to see if i have any blinking numbers next to, i dunno, a Sonic symbol on my phone screen (indicating missed alerts from SB). Wouldn't that be awesome? I think so. This may seem far-fetched, but i don't think that there's a such thing as a stupid idea. I'm sure i'm not the only one who's wondered this. So i want to hear thoughts on this, because if this could be done, then members who have social lives can still be current, frequent, and up-to-date without losing out on their lives and activities and don't have to sit on the computer for hours and hours just posting away. They can now MULTITASK. But that's if. So yeah, feedback time.

You said yourself it would hardly load on your PSP and when I go on my mom's or dad's mobile it loads slowly, which isn't good. So, my point is, I like your idea...I'm just confused on how we would get it to load on the mobile.

Exactly but if there's not a "mobile" it won't load up on every smart phone. Like, for example, Facebook loads up on every smart phone, it's technology even allows it to load on some non-smart phones. Now i'm not a tech nerd, i have ZERO IDEA how to make this work i just decided to present the idea. I'm sure it has something to do with money (no doubt) and someone getting the tech into to get a mobile bookmark. And it doesn't matter if it loads fast it, doesn't load efficiently, which is the problem. It causes like lags and problems and once it even messed up my mother's smart phone so i decided not to try that again. Like i said, i don't know exactly how to do it myself, but i'm sure if we combine our heads, someone can come up with SOMETHING. I mean, it can't honestly be THAT hard, can it? A ton of other sites do it.

The best I could do is the Mobile skin which pretty much eliminates most styling and images to load faster. I really made it so my PSP would load the site much better.

But i guess that sort of settles that, there's really nothing that can be done. I knew from the get-go that it would be complicated because the tampering required would also require talking to big companies, possibly even including smart phone companies, not to mention Big Bucks. Oh well. Worth a shot, i suppose. Maybe as SB gets more popular... It'd be easier. Hmm. Let's wait and see, shall we?

I second that. Also it makes pages load faster on PSP. But to be honest, forums really aren't fully intended for mobile browsers. And depending what mobile phone you have, it might suck for browsing. I have and iphone and HTC Hero, they load flawlessly with a 2 minute load wait max. So yeah. As a smart tip, I recommend disabling "Load Images" on your mobile browser, makes pages load faster and to use the mobile skin, so that's less CSS and images it has to load. So, we need to wait and see if Zetaboards themselves will implement this feature one day. yeah, i think what they want is something like facebook mobile, the thing is, the app that you need for that would be a Zetaboard app that would give you the ability to view any zetaboard forum in a "mobile mode" I'm pretty sure that even the most advanced programmer wouldn't be able to do that just for =SB= it would require them to use information and programing that is owned by Zetaboard, probably would require them to use some of Zetaboard's own server space as well. But with the way things are moving in the cellphone world, I wouldn't be surprised if ZB came out with some kind of advanced mobile functionality.
