So someone made a sort of 3D video of the Sonic Doomsday boss on Sonic 3 & Knuckles. It's truly beautiful, looks better than most of Sega's 3D Sonic games, and it adds some intensity to the battle.

And a bonus:

Mushroom Hill 3D Side scroll gameplay!

That 3D doomsday zone looked awesome! I already saw the MHZ one and it was pretty neat too.

I object to your claims
I saw both of those. Very impressive. The Doomsday one is a bit slow-paced though. :(

I saw the 3D Mushroom Hill Zone before. The 3D Doomsday Zone. Well I thought it was great.

These both look epic, I wish those could be in real Sonic games. Too bad they won't.

Ive seen the stage vid before, If you look at the authors notes on you tube, he admits that it's not playable, he took a screen cap of him playing the game, and went back and rendered it into 3D, so there are a lot of things that look visually appealing, but they would be impossible to do in a real-time game environment. If you were to compare this to anything SEGA has done, you would have to compare it to the cinematics (Like the epic intro to Unleashed) in which this fan made vid would obviously pale in comparison.

BUT I will say that it does look great for fan made work. A lot of people just might get the wrong impression of what this work actually is (I know on YT many thought it was a playable game that a fan made such as Sonic Fan Remix) when in reality its just a video, just like the tons of animated films that we watch (which have much higher standards...)

NOW, the Doomsday vid, is Very impressive as far as animation goes, (especially when done by someone who isn't a professional) but still not as good as we've seen from SEGA themselves.

I'm not fully sure on that.... I think that Doomsday video is pretty close if not spot on to what Sega is capable of doing... The creators of that would do Sonic Team very well if they were to ever work for Sonic Team, that is truly impressive and being only just a fan video, imagine if they honed their craft a bit more....

Actually, SEGA could do a lot better than that. The Sonic model I'm pretty sure was recycled from Brawl.
i'm actually really sorry bout this

I don't know... based off all I've seen I feel this one is a lot better than most of Sega's efforts. And I suppose it could be from Brawl, idk... but still I like it a lot and it's highly impressive!

yeah if you think that its close to what sega can do, then you really should watch the intro to unleashed, the animation is truely on par with the standards we've seen put forth by companies like pixar and dreamworks. Heck, even the intro for sonic and sega allstars racing looks outstanding...

(not trying to bash the video, like I said, for a fan it's fantastic!)

Anything done by VE Studios (SEGA's CG team) in the past 6 years has been miles ahead of this.

Hmmm... well I suppose I have given up on Sonic games for the most part since close to 6 years ago, truth be told I've never played any new Sonic game post Sonic Heroes. Though I've seen game play from Sonic 06 and the recently released Sonic 4.
