Street Fighter Tournament RP Interest Check

Marble Garden Act 1
Being severely disappointed by the lack of Street Fighter RPs around these days, I've decided to create my own. Why Street Fighter? Because jumping uppercuts are sexy as hell.

Original characters will be required. There will be very few canon characters involved, but I'll mention which ones can be referenced later on. Oh, and no furries. >:(

It will be set after the events Street Fighter III (but with the same characteristic of street fighter games more or less maintaining a level of technology akin to the present day).

Anyway. The main premise of the RP would be a massive televised fighting tournament held in an abandoned city with an inconceivable amount of money at stake. Each participant would be invited to attend by letter. The tournament would consist of a week-long preliminary endurance test, then quarter-finals, semi-finals, and finals. The preliminary rounds will sort the fighters into winners and losers brackets for the quarter finals, but the top two fighters of the losers bracket will be available to move up to the winners bracket for the semifinals, although they will be seeded the lowest in their respective brackets.

However, certain things are at work behind the face of the tournament; members of a certain evil organization you might've heard of will be participating undercover. At the same time, a few agents of a certain investigative agency might be there as undercover agents as well.

The preliminary rounds function as a survival test to sort the applicants into the winners bracket and losers bracket. They would be held in a sectioned off area of this deserted city, full of dilapidated buildings and empty streets, with a large, open park in the middle, but also completely monitored by camera. All participants will be fitted with mandatory wristbands that monitor their location in the city, and their vitals. When a fighter falls unconscious (sleep not withstanding), it will be recorded on an overall leaderboard, and when a fighter knocks another fighter unconscious, it too will be recorded. Thus, it becomes a survival test within the city, forcing the fighters to both A) win enough fights to qualify for the winners bracket and B) make sure not to lose enough fights to get stuck in the loser's bracket. The rest of the tournament will proceed normally. All participants will have access to top of the line medical care and training facilities, as well as recordings of all previous matches.

And that's pretty much the cliffnotes version. Questions? Interest?
