Well I haven't played it too much yet, but this game is really fun! Lately I haven't been able to get into any games that I buy and even old games I used to like, but this actually gives me that feeling of awesome that I once had when playing a new game. Perhaps it's because it's just completely different from the other games I have(including the JRPGs). It's pretty gothic styled too...

It won best PS3 game(yes, even beating out Uncharted 2!!) and best RPG last year from Gamespot and people keep going on about how good(and how hard) it is, so I decided to get it. Has anyone else played this game?

YES. YES. AND YES AGAIN.

I enjoyed that game so much. :D The difficulty was actually what drew me to it. It requires a lot of skill to get through a bunch of stuff in that game. I think I'm around Soul Level 120. I just wish I still had it.

@ Above... So on the first boss, it is impossible to beat right? I know I died on one swipe and there really was no way to avoid it because of the confined space. I'm thinking it was made to be impossible to introduce you to the nexus?

It actually is possible to beat the Vanguard, but you end up dying in a scripted event and going to the Nexus anyway. You just get a handful of souls and a bunch of healing grasses.
