Sonic Adventure has finally hit the Xbox Live Marketplace with HD textures and Dolby Surround Sound. I picked it up yesterday since it's only 800 Microsoft Points which is a deal considering other big titles that have been re-released have gone for 1200. Halo Reach and art are really going to cut into my playing time for the game but from what I could tell it looked crisp and sounded nice. PSN's version of the game will be out next week, for all of you Playstation fans/owners wanting to jump back into the Adventure days. Sonic Adventure was released on Xbox Live Arcade on September 15, 2010, while the PlayStation Network version will be released later this month. The DLC package, simply titled "Sonic Adventure DX", has launched alongside the game on XBLA, for 400 Microsoft Points, effectively making the entire Sonic Adventure DX 1200 points. It upgrades the game to include all of the DX features sans the Game Gear games. - Wikipedia |

So from what you could see, Bowie, was it really much better than the standard version? I've got DX on the 'Cube and PC but my 'Cube version is a little meh nowdays thanks to a certain someone scratching the heck out of it. Anyways, I may look into picking this up for my 360 whenever I wind up buying one. |

All of the textures are HD and the sound is much better, especially when comparing the high output HD and its sound on a Surround sound system when compared to the older Cube and Cast versions. However, if you already have the game for the Dreamcast/Gamecube and you're on the fence about getting it then you probably don't need to get this version, at least not straight away. I believe they offer a demo so you can test it out before you decide. |

Ah, Demo is always a good thing. I'll be sure to give it a look at some point. Then again, I've bought the Megadrive titles at least 4 times now so I can see myself buying this anyway. It was a good game.

I have Dreamcast version... I have Gamecube version... Can I therefore justify buying it a third time? No - maybe if it was SA2, but not this game. |

I have the dreamcast version, which i need to re buy due to collateral damage, the dreamcast itself also had to be replaced ... I have the gamecube version, but my wii is so dull i can never be bothered to turn it on and play it... I have it on PC, but i hack it and cheat it more than i actually play it, and my steam friends are ussually bothering me to go on something else instead... But now, I SHALL GET IT ON XBOX! AWWW YEEEAAAH! |

I have the Gamecube and the PC version. But now it gives me an idea to make a HD Texture hack for my SADX game on my PC. I want Sonic Adventure in awesome realistic textures  But I have no XBox, so yeah, time for PC downloading. |

I'll probably get it but, I wish they would of added some more features to it instead of just taking the DX version and putting it on the 360. |

Yeah I've known this would come for a while. However it's already been added some content to it. Sonic Adventure DX. Basically able to play as Metal Sonic. Now that's a new twist if I ain't wrong. May consider downloading it later. I mean it's not like it will disappear from the arcade. |

I don't know much about the release(My Xbox has teh RROD so I just might get DX and play it on the wii), but I did play teh dreamcast version before. I gotta say, you guys are taking this re-release very well, but on the sega forums, it's a totally different story. It seems IGN rated very low, 3.5, and a lot of the people on the forum thinks it's justified.
