Gender: Female Species: Cottontail Rabbit/ Jackrabbit Hybrid (Apparently) Occupation: Paranormal Investigator Residence: Hotels, no permanent residence Birthplace: Unsure Appearance: 1. Paranormal Camera, a normal flash camera which captures things the human eye can't. Ectoplasm, Bypassing cloaking devices, etc. 2. Supernatural Radar, detects unique chemicals, ectoplasm, and unknown DNA samples (so if bigfoot sheds she'll see it :D) it is glitchy and can not be relied on all the time. Portable size. 3. Night Vision/ Supernatural Vision Goggles,detects the same things as the radar, but shows the details, scientific depth of it. 4. Intercepter Radio, a old walky talky/ radio meant to intercept alien messages, assuming the use radio waves, overall does not work. Strengths/Weaknesses - Hoax has enhanced leg strength and can jump 10 ft in the air max. - She knows how to kickbox - Hoax is easily distracted, sometimes stopping a fight to take pictures of the opponents odd powers. - Hoax is prone to wandering off and forgetting what she was supposed to be doing. Weapons: Proton Pack (only used if she expects she needs to bring it.), Wooden stakes, a revolver which shoots silver bullets, stolen alien shield device, stick on your chest and it shields you from alien weaponry. (nobody believes it is though. Backstory: Hoax was an orphan for as long as she can remember. She lived in a old orphanage which was basically fallen apart. Once she was taking a walk and found a old cellar. There she saw a ghost of a young cat. (Who may or may not get a character sheet) She then got a extreme interest for the paranormal. Whenever she got something, people would think it was fake. That's how she got the name Hoax. She liked the name, and now gets mad when she is called her real name, Harriet. SO! Let's fix this! getting megas-enthusiastic First off, the goggles and the camera. Clearly, they use a lens or filter to 'see' things that most people can't. DEFINE THIS PLEASE; does the lens bypass psychic cloaking, or does it enable the user to see ectoplasm, or something else, et cetera. Secondly, an 'unnatural radar' is laughable. LAUGH! LAUGH NOW! THE LORD OF THE VELVET ZONE DEMANDS THAT YOU LAUGH! Moving on, unless ghosts, monsters, ESPers, aliens, time-travellers, SLIders and those sorts somehow have something in common that can be detected in your perception of the universe (like, resonating on a particular sonic frequency, or emitting psychic waves or AIM fields, or something like that), a single device capable of picking up their readings would be BIG. And that's being generous. You're better off working with multiple devices, or if you simply MUST have a single handheld scanner, something that can switch to different settings. But again, it'd be pretty bulky to do that. Not just that, but you still have to justify what the scanner actually DETECTS; you can't just tell a computer to look for 'aliens', it doesn't work like that. There'd have to be something about 'em that isn't usually found in other creatures/objects that a detection device can pick up on. Thirdly, how does a radio pick up alien messages? You're assuming aliens still use radio wave technology to transmit messages, hm? Fourth and last, any good paranormal investigator is always prepared for the worst-case scenario. A camera, a scanner, a pair of binoculars and a walkie-talkie ain't gonna protect you when a poltergeist is dropping pianos and chandeliers on you, or a vampire is trying to sink his teeth into your neck, or a rogue telepath is worming their way into your mind, or... well, you get the idea.
