Huh. That arm from before? Yeah. Took the brunt force of the battleaxe. A hissing sound could probably be heard if you were listening close enough, because THAT REALLY HURT. Gotta tell you though, he was kinda surprised when he tossed away that rifle and then decided to go close-range. Oh well. That would be Dev's mistake, not his, seeing how he was now firing point-blank at the armored guy. That wouldn't keep up for long. Numbers just liked wasting the bullets in guns. FUN TIMES WERE HAD, right up until he chucked the gun at Dev so he could use his other arm for something probably in a but when Dev would strike again. Or something close to that. |

"As a matter of fact... No, not really... But only because you asked if I'd believe it." That had immediately made Jax tense. "So, where are we- I mean, you, going exactly? Do you have a destination in mind? Cause maybe I should go now..." She had a feeling she really, really needed to remember something really important, but she had no idea what it was. Something to do about the robot, obviously. |

"Good. I was lying." The robot said, sort of stretching his metallic arms and sinking back in his chair again. "The uh, re-" He was cut off by the girl, who now had grown mildly frantic. "Nothing stopped you from leaving before. I'm only going to a safehouse. Deserted, abandoned, and ramshackle. My home away from home... Away from home." He said idly, tacking on that last bit as a small afterthought, watching the red line get shorter as they neared Zed's destination. He decided to stow the children's book once again and look over the controls. "... I honestly don't know what I'm doing with this thing. What am I doing?" He would say to himself, realizing he just stole a walker just now. His blank stare almost made him look like he hit a blue screen before his features relaxed and he looked over to the girl for the second time, this entire trip. "If you really want to leave, I'll uh. See what I can do." He then looked down at the controls and waited for a response, looking for something that would stop the autopilot function. He figured logically, pressing the autopilot button again would take it out of autopilot, but sometimes that may bring up another menu with words. Sometimes even sentences. Ugh. Zed had a hard enough time reading already. Edited by The Milkman, Sep 21 2010, 04:50 PM.

Away from home? Jax knew there was definitely something she had to know about this robot... Maybe she should cheat. Venia, run memory information on automations. Understood. Processing... In the meantime, she forced herself to calm down. There was no reason to panic. No reason to panic... "It's not that I dislike your company, it's just that I probably have things to do and-" Finished. Information viewing... Jax blinked many times as she had an instant memory playback. The first time it had happened, she had freaked out. Now it was just disorienting. She tensed up again. Four words. Order of the Seekers. She was sitting with their leader. "You-you're... The Seekers! Are you going to kill me?" |

Zed gave a sigh, mildly annoyed with the girl's comment. "First now, hold on. It's the "ORDER OF The Seekers". I'm very picky about that." The robot was still very calm about that, however, his voice had gone from somewhat sunny to slightly more agitated, though at the same time, kind of sad. "Second, yeah. Okay. I'm the leader. Ain't proud of it." He raised his hands in a "You got me" pose. Unfortunately for the girl, the machine did not double as a leprechaun, and she wasn't going to get any gold off of him. His head swooped down to look at the girl's hands that he freshly bandaged, pointing to them and looking up at her. "Lastly, I don't like to kill the people I save, slash patch up. Very unproductive, that." He gave a frown and recoiled back to his side of the chicken walker, realizing he was probably invading her personal space a bit. "I suppose you're gonna want to leave now." The machine would look out the window, placing a knuckle against the glass, looking at an old gas station that had blown up long ago as they passed it, knuckle tapping idly against it, thinking. The robot's eyes and hand would then trail off over to the controls, looking up at the girl and waiting for a response, finger hovering over the autopilot button, propping his head up with his elbow placed on the controls. "It's fine. I was kind of expecting it." The robot gave a somewhat unintentionally freaky grin, trying to lighten up his own mood a bit. After all, "when you smile, the whole world smiles with you". Sometimes it was nice to believe in dorky things like that. Edited by The Milkman, Sep 26 2010, 01:55 AM.
