Ah, Portal. I have great memories from the first one. It was so short, yet it was so good. The ending to the first one was one of my favorite endings to a videogame. I just hope the second one will be as good.

I'm glad that Steam is going to be supported on the PS3 version. It won't get neglected like the Orange Box did. I've never played Portal, but I suppose I will give it a shot or rent it.

What? Neo. You've never played Portal? How could you miss that game it's among one of the greatest puzzle-based first person-esque ever created.

They got Freddy. Poor Freddy.

Portal is an amazing game - I got it when it was offered for free over Steam earlier this year. It truly does live up to the hype.

I can't wait to see what Portal 2 is like, would make a good birthday present in February...

Well, I got the Orange Box for both the PC and PS3 for some odd reason. So, I play Team Fortress 2 on my PC where as everything else I play on the PS3. Works out for me just peachy.

The Cooperative idea that they are presenting for Portal 2 looks more epic than Left 4 Dead.

"we had fun though, right? remember when the platform was going into the fire pit, and i was like "goodbye" and you were like "no way" and I was like "we pretended, we were going to murder you"...that was great..."

but seriously, Portal was awesome, I await the sequel.

Yep, I absolutely loved Portal when I played it (I mean, who didn't?) so a sequel is just fine by me. I rember watching the intro bit where you have to lug that personality core around, forgotten his name but he's totally awesome already. XD

tl;dr: Loved Portal, will love Portal 2. |P

Dude... Portal 1 was awesome... I can't wait for Portal 2.

I remember the how the first one had me so confused for a while. I was younger and my clever-ness hadn't yet developed. But, now that I'm older, I should be able to play through it, no problem!!

Portal 2 is now available to preorder on Steam. You will also get a free copy of the original Portal - and if you already have it, you can give it to a friend!
I imagine this will need to be distributed as a gift via Steam, and is annoying as hell because I'm definitely going to preorder it, and I definitely don't have a friend that doesn't have Portal :( Everyone bought it already!!

Oh my what a sweeping statement to make!

Okay so I really found myself loving the first Portal game it offered a lot of challenge and had some silly humour and kept me going because some of the challenges were quite difficult, I did not expect a second one to be honest.

I hope it works and it isn't too much of a "copy paste" mash up because then I will be left disappointed. As long as the challenges remain difficult and the story line is adjusted enough to not make it feel like a carbon copy I'll be happy.

Having seen how Steam and XBL users hook up(F1 2010 is my only first-hand experience) I'm also hopeful that this can conncect to PSN guys. I haven't kicked anyone's ass on a Playstation game since NHL '05 on the PS2 :P

Edit: Zak, did you go and delete your post?? :o
