I'm considering the feasibility of judging tourney 4, and I'm looking to see who would be interested in judging. we are NOT taking competitor applicants at this time. Aspiring Judges only. At least one is fine, two would be awesome. Aspects I'm looking for: Ability to judge to the end of the tourney Able to judge as impartially as possible - no favoritism Once I get my one or two peeps to judge, we'll go from there. I dunno if you looked at, or remember the previous tourneys, but all we need is a judgement panel who would be willing to grade who got the win in the event of an uncertain conclusion to a match. Certain parameters would be taken into account: Grammar / Spelling Fair Play Entertainment Adaptability That last topic was covered under 'Adaptability to the Environment,' but I think that it's better to take in consideration how each opponent adapts to each other, as well, so as to broaden the subject further.

I suppose we'll set this as mission accomplished. we have judges, though it might be a bit too much if we have a low amount of participants. stilll, I'd like to see where this goes. Worst case scenario, we can have 4 main judges and rely on the judgement of the 5th for a tie breaker. If that's too excessive, I suppose one of the interested peeps can retract their vote. My proposal for Tourney 4 is as follows: Instead of a static tree of elimination, we should have a tourney set of Round Robins (all vs all). Each round consists of 1v1 fights, and those with the lowest amounts of victories once everyone has fought each other is eliminated. In the event of equal victories, we can either compare points (victories that don't need arbitration by the judges can be considered to have a full 50 points, for example), or have tie breaker fights to determine the loser. Once fighters are eliminated, we can either narrow the Round Robins (based on participants remaining) or go straight to the semifinals (or to the finals, in extreme situations). For the nature of the arena, I'd like to keep it somewhat simple. I wasn't thinking about anything too exotic; a stone bedrock covered with topsoil and layered with straw in order to try and keep the dirt clouds down. as the Tournament progresses, we can introduce weather conditions that compile the handicap, and maybe even make weapons racks available to those who were handicapped by entry conditions, just to make it interesting. As a side proposal, how would you guys like to talk about ideas for the upcoming tourney? here on the forum using thread and/or PM, or could we use an outside medium, like Skype?
