Carnival Night Act 2
I've got a question though. On part 3. Say you're the one who started the RP and what not. and say if a player joins but one of the following happens:

1) Said Player drops off the face of the Earth (as in no matter how much you try to reach them they have just disappeared from the site. Normally by a decent amount of time.)

2) Said Player refuses to answer you back even though you know the player is still active on the forum.

3) Said Player has decieded to leave the RP and won't write out the Character. (either by getting killed off or simply having them leave to never return or whatever.)

Now under the above conditions. Is it ok for the RP owner/creator/ whatever you call him. be allowed to take control of the character if just to write him out or for just the post so they can move on.

Remember, it's possible in most circumstances that players inactiving with said player could just in a way "ignore" him and just move on. But I mainly refer to the circumstances where the player can't just be "ignored" either due to the current scene/interaction or his characters place in the RP.

Examples: If Player A is a Pirate captain. and Players B and C are his crewmen.

or say if Player A's the main bad guy. and the plot is currently in the middle of a bad guy interaction or something.

or someother thing. Could even be a fight scene where Said player is pinning down anther character then a third. character comes up to stop said player or something like that.

Remeber: I'm saying if it's allright for the owner/creator/whatever you call him, of the RP to in a word "break/bend" the rule in part 3 if the above criteria are met.
Looking for someone to RP with. PM me if your interested.

Hmm. You raise a very interesting point. But, I have to be perfectly honest; I wouldn't know what one would do in this situation. I suppose characters from those who are MIA could theoretically be taken control of, if just to write them out of the story or something like that.

However, if they are a fairly huge part of the plot, then I'm not sure what you would do supposedly.

Anyone have any ideas of their own?

Well, I've been putting up at the top in the "Rules" of the Roleplays what will happen if you go MIA or leave without writing out your characters. In the case o the Pirate Captain one: I say that your character will either be Marroooned, (strainded on an island) or in the case of those who Leave the Roleplay and refuses to write out their character, I'll haev their character get killed. But it mainly depends on the situation. But in some ways that's what I think should be, the RP maker should make it clear in the RP rules what will happen if you go MIA or leave and refuse to write out your character.

Yeah, I could see something like that working.
