Locked constantly in perpetual twighlight, Duskenville is quite aptly named. But do not mistake this constant darkness for a curse that must be lifted. No, this is actually normal for this little burg. Either way, the villagers don't have a problem with the lack of sunshine.

What they do have a problem with, is that a true curse has recently plagued the town. Everyday, at the stroke of midnight, someone, be they a villager or just a traveller passing through, is turned into a Chao. (What, and you thought it was going to be something creepy? ;) ) No one is sure why this happens, but rumors abound regarding a small castle that exists deep within the nearby forest. Could it be that this castle harbors the secret of this curse?


Well that's where you come in. You (and a friend, if you so wish) pass through Duskenville. You somehow learn of the village's plight, and offer to help. But be warned, another twist awaits you should you solve this mystery. >=3

And now for some rules.

Rule #1: Godmodding will not be permitted.

Name: Blaire Fields

Dark blue sleeveless trench coat

Over the years, Blaire has gained a knack for sword-fighting-specifically with a blue saber known as the Sapphire Blade. As she likes her skills to be ‘sharp’ (lol pun), Blaire will spend a couple hours a day honing her swordsmanship. She has built a small training arena near her home with several metal poles and practices her skills there. Needless to say, she has had to replace several of these poles over the years.

Blaire was born with a slightly altered genetic code. It is unknown exactly how this happened, but it gave the Siberian Husky cyrokinesis, or power over ice. When the temperature is 32 degrees Fahrenheit or lower, Blaire is able to use her energy to fuse tiny particles of ice together and manipulate icy cold wind around her. She can’t freeze anyone with her cyrokinesis, but a couple of her attacks can temporarily numb her opponents’ bodies.

Strengths:
-Because of Blaire’s low defense, she needs to avoid getting hit by strong attacks. This is where her great response time comes in. If she spots her foe coming after her, she can leap or sidestep out of the way, so as to avoid the attack.
-Since she’s a Siberian Husky, it’s not surprising that Blaire can take a little chilly weather. This canine can handle temperatures as low as -58 degrees Fahrenheit without complaints.
-She is calm in the face of danger, and will not back down until either she or her opponent is defeated.


Weaknesses:
-Blaire can’t take very much damage from strong blows. Whereas she can take a number of minor strikes, all her opponent has to do to defeat her is land a few hard blows, and Blaire will be out of the fight.
-As a husky, Blaire does not do well in places where the temperature is 90 degrees or higher. In these conditions, her fighting abilities tend to weaken, making it easier for her to be defeated in combat.
-Her Cyrokinetic moves can only be used when the temperature is 32 degrees F. or lower.

Weapons/Items:

-Cyrokinetic Bangle: A primarily ice blue bangle worn on her left wrist. Created by Gyro Techshun, it enables Blaire to decrease the temperature around her by up to 50 degrees F., allowing her to perform various Cyrokinetic powers. The bangle affects the temperature up to a range of ten feet. The range does not affect the overall strength of Blaire’s attacks. The bangle must be 100% charged before the effects take place. Once it is fully charge, the charge will steadily decrease to 0%, where it must be reactivated. (Takes five posts to charge and ten to lose the charge)

-Sapphire Blade-A metallic blue saber with a dark hilt.

-A p250 SIG SAUER.

-Wears lightweight jet black armor with red trimming that covers her torso

Battle Information:

Skills:

- Atmidokinesis: Hazel is capable of manipulating, and with great concentration generating vapor such as mist and fog. She can also increase the density of the vapors, turning them into hard substances.

-Able to climb very well

-Skilled at wall jumping

Strengths:

Being a chipmunk, she is of course very agile, allowing her to dodge attacks easier.

-She is very tolerant of pain and the like.


Weaknesses:

Hazel is skilled in the art of Atmidokinesis, the ability to generate and manipulate vapor. However, if she’s not in the vicinity of mist, or even a water source of which she can convert, she will have to generate the vapor herself. Such a maneuver not only takes a while, but uses up a bit of her energy. When that happens, her attacks are slightly weaker than they would normally be.

Weapons/Items:

-9mm Glock
-A small dagger
-Cybernetic ear that can be ear that can be detached and planted as a listening device. Can record up to ten minutes worth of conversations.

We shall start when we have at least five people, myself included.

Name: Arcane Roamer

Appearance:Silver hair, blue eyes. light skin, about 6’1”, weighs 120p

Attire: Blue/ green shirt. Grey cargo shorts. grey fingerless gloves, white sneakers with two arrows pointing to the toes on both sides of the shoe.

Battle Information:

Skills:(swordsman) energy shields, minor healing abilities compressed energy blasts (only with weapon in use. Basic magic attacks. (Ice, fire, lightning)

Strengths:
-Reacts quickly allowing him to dodge and parry easily. But reacting properly is a different matter…
-Quick attacks: he attacks quickly opening up for a combo attack.
-Combination attacker: His attacks are not power full so he chains together attacks to make up for it. Once he catches you, be ready for a flurry of attacks.
- sharp shooter (magic attacks) : he doesn’t miss often but only with magic attacks.
-Universal block. Reinforcing a normal parry with a energy shield making it hard for attacks to get through his defenses, but once defenses are down he tends to lag because of the flow of energy.

Weaknesses
-Physically weak: he can’t hit hard, but can hit fast.
-Slow recovery: if his first attack misses, is blocked, is coming out of a shield, or dodge he can’t get back into a stance quickly leaving him open for attacks. (a regular sir. Lags-a lot)

Weapons/Items: gun blade.(a basic single edged broad sword with a gun barrel that extends from the top of the hilt to the tip of the blade. The gun is extremely short range almost point blank. He can’t hold it still long enough to aim long distance)

Brief Bio: arcane is generally a nice person. He tries his best to be kind and polite to everyone he meets. But he tends to be rowdy and easily offended. And when some on does something to get on his bad side, they stay there. He’s unforgiving that way.
He lives in a town that is smack dab in monster territory, so if you can’t fight you better learn.
So from a young age he trained with his father to become a great swords man. He always liked the idea of a gun and sword all in one weapon so he had one made for him. Though, it didn’t work out too well in the long run. The blade was heavy and too hard to aim with. But he grew attached and couldn’t bring himself to throw it away. So he over looked the short comings and learned how to use it properly.

I asked that you refrain from comparing your characters to the officals, but that's not the problem here.

The problem lies in your strengths and weaknesses. Just how is destruction a strength? The evil and chaos thing seems a bit iffy as well. Same goes for the weakness. Plus, we're not going to be running into Sonic or his friends, nor will we be anywhere near the Master Emerald. I strongly suggest that you fix your strengths and weakness.

Also, it would help if you did not compare your character to the officals. ;)

Just what I had in mind. Everything dead on earth, except us.
I had to work from scratch because I don't normally save data on my characters, but I hope this is all right.

Basic Information:

Name: Dextra Mavis

Age: 23 in human years

Gender: Female

Species: Half human, half druid

Physical Appearance:

Image (Optional): None

Appearance:
- Olive skin
- Glowing spheres of white light for eyes
- Full, red lips


Attire: She’s fully clad in a white, draping cloak down to her feet with a hood that forms a shadow over the top half of her face, a disguise over the body of a warrior as beneath it she is protected by tough armor with protruding shoulders and iron plated boots. At times she'd appear ghost-like if it weren't for the vibrancy of her face.

Battle Information:

Skills: Through her connection with the forces of nature, she is able to harness power from the spiritual world. To be specific, the energy she receives from them in their activity stimulates her reflexes and strength slightly, and their impulses are converted upon contact, allowing her to generate electricity from her bare hands. (I hope you catch my drift, I had no idea how else to explain it. xP)
Coupled with her grace and power with the use of her staff as well as her utilization of electricity, Dextra can transfer her power through her weapon, not only striking her foe but shocking them with the power of electrocution.

Weapons/Items: As a back-up for the varying limitations of her electrical power (see: weaknesses), with her she takes a staff that she can use to strike her enemy. Spear-like on its top and decorative down to its end, the staff is a part of her person, her more vicious side rarely seen unless absolutely necessary.

Strengths:
- Electrical charge that can be dispersed from her hands
- She is comfortable with fighting hand-to-hand, but only does so when in a desperate situation during battle
- Enhanced strength and reflexes


Weaknesses: Due to her being not fully druid, her humanly side deprives her of establishing a closer connection to the natural world than that of the average druid, therefore she does not have the capacity to possess healing powers nor use a large amount of energy for a long period of time, rendering her exhausted if she overuses it. Disarming her of her weapon and allowing her to drain her power brings the opposition a step closer to her defeat. As well, not being adjacent to a natural environment lowers some of her effectiveness in battle, as it is more difficult to communicate with the spirit world from which she gains her electrical power, enhanced strength and reflexes that distinguishes her from the human race. She must then rely heavily on her combat skills with the staff.

Destruction is a strength because shes evil and it makes her stronger
Same as evil, she is evil and once she gets around more evil aura, she gets more stronger
and chaos is because she has the power to control chaos
and her weaknesses
are because shes good and hates it
because sonic and friends are good and she hates good
and the master emerald because thats the strongest chaos of all and she always has trouble controlling it and whenever she does she gets weaker

I wouldn't consider that a strength more then I would a skill, but everything else looks good. ;)

@Kanata: But some of those aren't really....they still don't make much sense as strengths and weaknesses. The chaos one...maybe...

Strengths are usually something like a resistance to a certain type of attack, good reaction time so they can dodge attacks easier, or even calmness in stressful situations, among other things. While weakness can be something like being too slow, not being able to use a particular attack unless certain conditions are made, or being extra weak to a certain type of attack, as well as other things..

(well, Someone's been playing Paper Mario and the thousand year door lately, am I right?)

Basic Information:

Name: Shaun Demitri

Age: 16

Gender:Male

Species: Wolf/Fox

Personality:He is very quiet. Not necessarily depressed, but he feels that he should only speak if he must, and usually has nothing to say. he is also a clean freak. Mind you, not at and OCD level, but does prefer to stay as spotless as possible, and does carry around a handkerchief for such occasions.

Physical Appearance:

Appearance:he has gray fur, jet black hair that is usually in an un-kept tangled mess. His muzzle is the normal white, but it would be un-normal for anyone to see it due to his scarf. Due to being part Fox, his Tail is larger and bushier than most wolves. He has streaks of black fur going down his front and his ears are tipped in black, and the inside lined with white. Both his eyes are clouded over, and one cannot see the color of his irises. This is due to him being Blind from birth.

Attire: He wears a long brown coat that brushes his knees at times. he leaves it open due to wearing a dark green sweater underneath. Along with a maroon scarf that covers his nose and mouth area at all times, which he leaves part of the scarf untied, so that it may flow in the wind behind him. This is simply because he believes it to make him look "cooler". He has a brown belt that stretches around his waist (dur) and has a small scabbard at the side for his dagger. And he prefers to wear long brown pants, and black gloves. He wears this wintertime-esque clothing all year round no matter the temperature.

Battle Information:

Skills: Shaun is an aeromancer. he can control the element of air, but unlike aerokenetics, does so through the use of magic. This limits his ability, as he must know a certain spell to preform a certain technique, but on the advantageous side, does not need large amounts of concentration to preform a powerful attack, and rarely needs to "charge" his attacks.

Strengths:Shaun is very versatile, he can jump long distances, and move faster than most, yet has very little problems standing still, and moves only to dodge.

Weaknesses:Shaun was also born blind. He has found that he can "see" using his air magic to produce sonar waves, but if his powers were to be cut off, he would be as blind as a bat. His waves also have a range of about a 5 meter radius around him, so he would not be able to see a far away ranged attack (say, a sniper?).

Weapons/Items: He carries a small dagger sound his waist, lest his powers fail him, but would not be able to use against a trained master of such a weapon. He also carries around a small tome containing most of the air spells he knows, and a few of other elements.

Battle Information:

Skills:
- Cloaktic - The spirit cloak that he wears, or is apart of him really, allows him to extend his arms and shape them into sharp claws or talons, and other sharp objects. Fact is, it's really his cloak that extends and forms into whatever he wants. The wings in back also allow him to glide and even fly at times, as they too can form into different things such as wings.
- Ninja Assassin: He was trained to become a ninja/assassin, and knows how to hide as well as fight and kill.
- Poison: His blood, along with his spit, is filled with poison that is amplified by the cloak spirit that is attacked to him. He can spit a ball of poison, or if cut, drips poisonous blood.
- Cloak Sight: His cloak normally rest on his head, allowing him to see normally. However, he can fused the hood part of cloak to his face. This allows him to see in the dark and through thick fog. He normally does this when he fights, or when he doesn't want to let anyone know what he looks like.


Strengths:
- Using the cloak spirit that is attacked him give him a lot of reach, as well as the ability to fly and hide.
- His Kekkai powers are a great help, as well as his aim with using projectiles.
- He can spit and poison people, a good ability to have to slowly weaken his foe

Weaknesses:
- Using the cloak gives him abilities, however, the cloak has a mind of its own. Using it to a straining point will result in a full coverage of the cloak, making the cloak take over his body completely and do as it wants. This happens normally when he wears his hood for a really long time and engages in a touch battle with it on.
- His Kekkai casting is pretty simple, as he can't cast boxes and barriers. This limits him a lot since he can't use his Kekkai to it's full power, which makes some of his Kekkai's attacks a bit weak.
- Poisoning someone has it's own down fall. He has to spit the poison at them, which he can't really spit that far. The other down fall, is that in order make the poison more toxic it needs to come form his blood, which means he would need to take on some damage if poisoning someone was must.
Weapons/Items:
- Kekkai Ring: Though he has a Kekkai ring, his form of Kekkai is far different then normal Kekkai casters. He can't make barriers or boxes. Instead, he uses it a projectile, shooting off Kekkai needles. He can also send off rays or slashes as projectiles as well. He has even mastered it to a point where he can form the Kekkai into ninja stars.

@L: Looks good to me.

@Kanata: I'm sorry, but a couple of those things I wouldn't even consider strengths and weaknesses, such as the 'good' thing. That'd be more of a dislike. You could keep the 'chaos' strength, though I am a bit iffy on that one.

As for the rest...think about what aspects of your character would help (strengths) or hinder (weaknesses) her in a fight. Is she quick on her feet or a bit on the slow side? Does she have good control over her abilities or does she have difficulties with it? Is she calm in battle, or someone who is easily nervous? Just a few suggestions.

Count me in, but you know I can't be bothered with the profiles.

You might already know Austin Ryder, but a few bits recapped:
His major "internal" power is the ability to accelerate entropy with regards to whatever he's touching. The extent of decay is related to how long he's in contact with the item, takes from five to ten minutes to trigger total decay to dust. Useful at times, but affects EVERYTHING he touches with his bare right hand; no real control beyond that.
Given that, he uses a special collapsible gauntlet designed to safely "ground" the energies involved with that power.
The gauntlet is fairly heavy, so Austin opts for a brawler's style when it comes to melee combat, usually involving setting up a harsh strike with the gauntlet. Downsides are obvious.
Austin also wields magic, and is a decent magical manipulator of three elements: water, air, and electricity. While he's not particularly strong in any one of them, his true strength in that regard is that those elements work together in a better-than-additive manner, and focuses his magics with that in mind. Downsides involve the fact that resistance to any one of those elements, while not as effective to the extent it would be with single-element-focal magi, is still considerable, making magical combat tend to be impractical for Austin.
Everything else should be apparent in my actual play with this guy.
Indeed, there is nothing more repulsive than these monsters that defy nature and are known by the name of witcher, as they are the offspring of foul sorcery and witchcraft. They are unscrupulous scoundrels without conscience and virtue, veritable creatures from hell capable only of taking lives. They have no place amongst decent and honest folk.
