Seeing as the old topic is dead, posting there will just get that one locked, so... Sonic & SEGA All-Stars Racing is... actually getting a pretty good response, which is good, because it's an awesome game. It's a LOT more fast paced than Riders, and would be even more awesome if it had a story. Then again, crossover games really could do better without a storyline, so... Yeah. I haven't experienced the game first hand because i'm not a fan of Racing games but at some point i'll send up buying this game because it seems to be well done, plus it has my favorite Sonic Rival, Metal Sonic which he doesn't seem to be gettin' much love as a big threat to Sonic anymore since Sonic Heroes but even then, it was another version of Metal Sonic, so before i go off-topic with Metal Sonic, i'll stop =P

I just thought you might have been saying that Metal Sonic was built into the game as just a normal character, which he's not. But yeah, so far I've got my Bronze license, all the characters, and all but two courses and 12 CDs.

The drifting system/boost is awesome and I agree it beats Mario Kart big time. My only complaint about the game though are the Homing Rocket items. Those are really cheap and not needed. If only we could restrict particular items

I really don't mind being hit by them, since being 1st the whole race is boring and I like people actually being CLOSE to me before I finally smoke them. ^^ But one thing I do think is cheap: the fact that you can fire rockets BEHIND you. Seriously? I'm in last place, trying to catch up and all of a sudden I get hit by a rocket from in FRONT of me? Ugh...

Not to mention that the track designs are as boring as hell, just playing this game made me feel drowsy. Plus the Wii version removed Amy Rose's blantent panty shot .... yeah .... Lava Reef Act 1 Posts: 2,605 Group: E Rank Legend Member #10,015 Joined: May 29, 2009	lol, two tracks I can think of off the top of my head that were an absolute BLAST to play on were Rocky-Coaster (so freaking FAST) and Monkey Target. (the U-turn section takes some getting used to, but once you know how to handle it it's really fun) And I, having never played any Mario Kart games and don't really want to, can't exactly defend ASR on how much it's influenced off of Mario Kart, but then again, the two aren't exactly competing much anymore, so it doesn't really matter. $:\$

I mean sometimes palying Mario Kart would get a bit boring at some point but this game has excitement the whole time.
