Okay folks, roll the video! Alright, look at around :38. If you'll notice, Sonic and Amy are getting chased by what looks like Metal Sonic. Possible flashback of Sonic CD, perhaps? But what ho? Sonic and Amy are both in their modern forms? How can this be!? Is it possible that, even in Sonic Adventure, SEGA decided to recon the past so that Sonic has had green eyes since before Adventure. (And even if that's not a flashback of CD, it does take place before Adventure, so that says something right there.)

And it never actually says that it is fro Sonic CD, this is only inferred. Still, if it is, Sonic Team is creating their own controversy and contradicting their own game of what was. Alongside the green eye theory comes the Eggman and Amy theory. Eggman is the new Eggman in Sonic 4, not the Robotnik of old. I know it's supposed to be a recon, I'm not doubting that. It's just a really bad recon which contradicts the former games. It's like the old Sonic from 1991 to 1999 never existed anymore.

I was going to show this off a while ago, but kept holding it off. And check out the blue around part of Tails' eyes here. Coincidence? Just a simple highlight? Something....more? Obviously just a small highlight. This is baseless. The newer eye Tails has is a bona-fide blue ring around it. This is strictly a black eye. I could put the image in photoshop and no blue color would be picked up on single. There is no relationship between the two. You even said yourself it was a recon... so, if i's a recon that Sonic now has green eyes when he didn't, why are you trying to prove that Tails once didn't (if he is in the same boat as Sonic)? Let's also mention that you used Tails and not Sonic. It's easier to show a bluish color against black and white then it is to show a green ring in Sonic. Another theory which is slightly more contrived but would be better for someone who insists that he had black eyes in the past (or brown, as some artwork hints at) is that he took up wearing contact lenses as from Sonic Adventure. Either of those is far more palatable than the official Archie comic explanation. Really, whose idea was it to make something as simple as eye colour such a contrived plot point...?
