If left blank, your default title currently will be: Mushroom Hill Act 1

Sonic had a freak lazer eye surgery accident that turned his eyes green maybe. |

Lava Reef Act 2

But if Genesis could render the green eye (which I highly believe it could as well) it furthers the question of why this change happened. Why was it so crucial to change Sonic? Then the main question arises: why does a retro classic Sonic game (Sonic 4 supposedly) have a neo Sonic within it if the green eye was not necessarily invented at the time of the originals? Sure, I've asked this question over and over again, but Sega has not given me a logical answer as to why. I'll end the discussion at that. The questions are unanswered. And if you complain about me going on and on, just read the other stories in this thread about the green eye theory. Just read them and you'll see that mine is as valid as theirs (joke or no joke). If they can go on, so can I (if I want to, but I'll pass after this post since the argument goes nowhere and will always be unanswered). Edited by Sonic Adventure 2, Jun 24 2010, 02:11 PM.

I seem to be all out of fucks
|
I have just one thing to say on the topic. Why the heck does it matter?!? Shouldn't things like gameplay and narrative be more important than his freaking eye-colour?!? |

Okay folks, prepare to have your minds blown. ![]() It was 1998 and things were going reasonably well for Sonic and friends. However, as the latest game in the franchise, Sonic Adventure, was getting developed, Robotnik decided that he had had enough of Sonic foiling his schemes. So, what did he do? He created a chemical to kill Sonic off. However, instead of killing him, the chemical (dropped down in the form of a gas by the way), messed up Sonic's vision-and that of all his friends. It even physically aged Amy four years, something that no scientist has ever been able to figure out. Now, SEGA couldn't have their characters running around half blind. So what they did, is design special contact lenses for all of them. They even used ones with different colors for those that would be continuing to take part in the games. That means Sonic, Tails, Knuckles, Amy and a few others would now have colored irises and characters such as Nack, Ray, and Mighty have to contend with boring black eyes. At least until SEGA decides to put them in games again. |

*looks at Blaire's theory* That makes my conspiracy theory of the CIA kidnapping classic Sonic characters look dumb.
