I seem to be all out of fucks Posts: 1,180 Group: A Rank Hero Member #11,124 Joined: June 9, 2010 Gender: Undisclosed Game Currently Playing: Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn	This is a sprite I made of my fan-character Zero. That was my first try and I got lots of helpful tips! Thanks! With my new version I couldn't decide how I wanted the ears, so I made two ways. Which is better? I would add a bit of shading to the trousers, not too much just a bit in the folds but that's entirely up to you!

You should never leave anything one solid color unless you're spriting in 8-Bit. But it's still very good. Nice Job.

Angel Island Act 2 Posts: 62 Group: D Rank Adventurer Member #10,793 Joined: February 23, 2010	There was mention of the use of solid color earlier. It may be a personal preference, but I try to use no less than three colors to shade with. That way, you have shadow, a mid-tone, and a highlight for each color. Blue streak, Speeds by... SONIC THE HEDGEHOG!!! Posts: 5,102 Group: C Rank Legend Member #9,446 Joined: October 22, 2008	First question. Is he edited? Or custom? Edited as in did you take a sonic or tails sprites and edit it to that character? Or by custom did you do it pixel by pixel? did you start from scratch and make that? If it's edited nice job, number 2. If it's custom, it's an OK job still number 2 lastly, it doesn't look like the ear on the right connects well, fix that by adding a few more pixels to connect it to the head, and everything will be fine.

Character Select Posts: 8 Group: E Rank Adventurer Member #11,192 Joined: July 2, 2010	You might want to use Genisis style instead, I know I personally find it a lot more pleasant to look at. It's also easier to work with because it's larger. Genisis Tails: http://www.themysticalforestzone.com/sprites/Sonic/Tails/Tails%2001%20copy.gif You may also want to work on adding more to the character to make it look less like Tails.
