You created it, right? surely you can create a little more to him than the cliche "street urchin" back story.

That doesn't necessarily make it right. You don't have to change it, I'm just saying it'd be better if he was less of a re-color.

So he resembles the Shadsters a bit; he's definitely not a complete rip off... and this is coming from the one who gave someone a .5/10 for fancharacter originality. I wouldn't, in good conscience, call "Striker" a recolor just yet. Zakman does have some points though. The eye corners, quill pattern, and shoe-tips are very Shadesque, and his pose isn't helping his case much, either. If you want a similar look for the shoes, you could try a raised-toe boot.. I believe hiking boots have that configuration... you should research a bit. As for the eye marking, I hate to say "Just drop 'em," especially since I don't have a good alternative, but I can see Striker being called a recolor a lot just for those small features. And for the quill stripes... eh... I don't think you'd get a lot of flak for them, and I'm not frothing at the mouth about 'em, either. They work with his design, but maybe, as an idea, you could try black rings down those quills, or some other pattern. Shrug And he really needs a bigger bio. I don't see "street urchin" as too cliche a back story. "Orphan," maybe, but not street urchin. But a few paragraphs on his past and circumstance would be a step toward getting out of that "recolor" vibe! Okay, that's my $0.02! See ya! Edited by Lil Avii, Jun 16 2010, 03:37 PM.
