![]() In 2009, Sucker Punch Productions released Infamous, a super-powered sandbox game that was a drastic departure from the studio's well-known Sly Cooper franchise. Venturing into new territory paid off for Sucker Punch; the PS3-exclusive Infamous has sold nearly 2 million copies, providing a combination of mobility and electrical powers that makes gamers feel like a true superhero. For Infamous 2, the team hopes to raise the bar even higher. A new look for hero Cole MacGrath is just the first step; a new city, new powers, and a powerful new foe await you in Infamous 2, and you can read all about it our exclusive 10-page story. Can't wait for my new issue!! Edited by Neo Metallix, Jul 2 2010, 10:08 AM.

I knew there would be as soon as Sucker Punch said that they wanted to go further into the world of inFAMOUS rather than going back to Sly. Plus inFAMOUS sold pretty well so they had incentive to go back to it. I really can't wait, inFAMOUS was one of my favorite superhero games. It wasn't perfect but there's no doubt that the second will be a big improvement. Look at the huge improvements from Killzone 2 to Killzone 3, LittleBigPlanet to LittleBigPlanet 2, Uncharted to Uncharted 2, etc. |

Lava Reef Act 2

I played the first game. It was really cool. I don't have a PS3, so I won't own this game, however, my cousin might get it and then I'll play it. |

A slight bump but my thoughts. I'm looking forward of the game(although not a big fan of Cole's new look though... hopefully it's still under development). I loved the first one. Maybe it can be like Mass Effect and stuff you did in the first game can affect the second. Will pick this up. Although I'm surprised by the sequel already. I mean, the original came out last year so this is rather quick. Can't the series wait a bit though? D: We haven't had a new Sly in years and they release a sequel for inFamous a year later after the first. ;___; Regardless, I'm getting this anyway. When is more info coming? |

Sandopolis Act 2

Between this and the GameInformer article. This looks to be setting up to be something ludicrously awesome. OH MAH GAWD. New town, new design for Cole, a buttload of new powers, a giant electrified club, and Zeke's makeover. They're setting the bar pretty high, though; hope they don't disappoint. CAN'T WAAAAAIT! |
| Indeed, there is nothing more repulsive than these monsters that defy nature and are known by the name of witcher, as they are the offspring of foul sorcery and witchcraft. They are unscrupulous scoundrels without conscience and virtue, veritable creatures from hell capable only of taking lives. They have no place amongst decent and honest folk. | |

When I got my GameInformer out of the mailbox a few days ago, I looked at the cover and said "Who is this guy on the cover......?" I'm excited - it should be a great, great game. |

Holy crap, the stuff in this game is a HUGE leap over the previous version!! And the first one was already good. Destructible environments, Uncharted 2 quality cutscenes, highly improved graphics(besting any other sandbox game), many more new abilities, etc... Sucker Punch has another hit on their hands. I didn't like it at first, but it grew on me and the actual gameplay has made me not care about the design change. |

True. I don't care as long as the gameplay is good(which it probably will be after seeing trailer). But you have to say you'll be a bit down as you play with him. I mean, let's say you're playing a game with awesome explosive gameplay but you're playing as-oh let's say-a vampire. You have to admit it brings you down a bit when you play it but it's still fun. Regardless, his look isn't that bad(although I still prefer it changed) and I'll still be picking this up. |

It really does remind me of Uncharted 2, but that's not a bad thing and the game itself doesn't it's just the huge jump it made that did. The graphics alone are leaps and bounds over the first and it is using MLAA that's so far only been used in God of War 3 and Pandemic's The Saboteur(and in the upcoming Killzone 3 also). MLAA stands for Morphological Antialiasing. The PS3 rendition of Pandemic's The Saboteur is special using MLAA. It's trying something new that's never been seen before on console, or indeed PC, and its results are terrific. In a best-case scenario you get edge-smoothing that is beyond the effect of 16x multi-sampling anti-aliasing, effectively delivering an effect better than the capabilities of high-end GPUs without crippling performance. http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/digitalfoundry-saboteur-aa-blog-entry So basically, MLAA eliminates jaggies for the most part and better than standard anti-aliasing. It also reduces the load on the GPU allowing for more performance. Pretty neat. |
