Trouble keeps you runnin' faster Posts: 968 Group: C Rank Hero Member #5,434 Joined: January 27, 2008 Xbox Live Gamertag: FadeToPuppets	I have noticed that Sonic CD is not on any recent Sonic game collections or virtual consoles or Xbox Live/PSN Emulators... why is this? So many fans think that this is Sonic's best game so why is SEGA keeping it off the market?

I still can't use this. Posts: 6,546 Group: Former Monarchs Member #6,722 Joined: March 16, 2008	I think the easiest reason is probably because it's on a completely different system than the Genesis titles. Subsequently, it's more unknown and thus yields no significant benefits through the amount of re-releases like the other titles. In fact, I'd like to imagine that CD is actually moreso a cult classic than anything. The reception of the game now seems fairly split between those who say it is great and the people like me who think it's just a gimped Sonic 1 with unnecessarily cramped level design. Also of note is the fact that out of all of the Genesis games, its past ports seemed to be the most dissatisfying to fans as a whole, which gives me further reason to believe that Sega simply doesn't give as much a damn about it because it isn't one of the perfect, classic Genesis title that everyone and their grandma remembers.

Posts: 3,252 Group: =SB= Kings Member #9,868 Joined: March 28, 2009	Sonic CD was meant to be part of Sonic Mega Collection, In fact the data still exsist in the game to have it appear on the menu screen if you know how to hack, but it was removed late in develpment for unkown reasons.

BECAUSE IT WAS ON THE ****ING SEGA CD, A HORRIBLE PIECE OF PLASTIC CRAP THAT HAS WASTED 70$ I'LL NEVER IN MY ENTIRE LIFE GET BACK. AT LEAST THE 32X FREAKIN' WORKED, AND YOU COULD PLAY CHAOTIX, BUT THE CD WAS ABSOLUTE SHIT. So yeah.
