I got to say overall, it's a resounding "meh". The gunplay is decent, the grenades are bouncy, but everything that's been done here has been done before. Nothing really dazzles me here. The multiplayer lags like hell also. I'm not saying it's a bad game, I'm saying that nothing innovative is done here. It's like CoD4 repackaged with a different campaign. Not even the difficulty stands out; I'm playing on Hardened (Right below veteran), and I'm breezing through it. Not a single "Mission failed" yet. Maybe I'll have to try Veteran when I'm done? Your thoughts,=SB=? |

I've usually found the MW games to be more of a rent or borrow thing. I usually beat them pretty fast and get tired of multiplayer pretty quick. |

Lolz about the CoD2. how many games did you play with all 3 online players. Kidding, CoD2 is Ok, and WaW is still fun for Nazi Zombies. |

Multiplayer is hands-down the best part of MW2. I know it sucks when you're getting started, but once you learn the maps and spawns, it becomes the most addictive thing you'll ever do. I was kinda slow starting, now I have 14 days of play time and 47 tactical nukes. it's excellent if you give it time. |

Don't have it, don't want it. In fact, I don't want any of the CoD games. ... ...Okay, I do want World at War, if only for the Nazi zombies. |

I totally agree. There is a learning curve to it, but what multiplayer game doesn't? And while there are things that are broken about it (like getting spammed by killstreak rewards), there's typically something you can do to counter almost anything the enemy throws at you. My favorite thing about it would be the customization aspect. You have a wide assortment of weapons, equipment, perks, and killstreak rewards to choose from, so the options are endless for coming up with custom classes. You will eventually find a loadout that works for you. What is in single-player mode is awesome, but it's too short. But the Spec Ops help make up for that. I like the small, bite-sized nature of these levels, and some of the concepts are really fun (like the levels where you have to hold out against multiple enemy waves). Mind you, the only other COD game I've played is 2, and I haven't tried MW1. So I am a relative newcomer to the series and thus MW2 feels pretty fresh to me. |

I've only played COD 3 before (which I was in the top 100 on the leaderboard), but I'm hoping to get MW2 when I get the chance... |

Kind of sucks when you die 5 times in 10 seconds from a chopper gunner. |

This is why I always keep a class with a Stinger and the Cold Blooded perk handy. If I get killed by anything that flies, I immediately switch to that class and take care of the problem. Yeah, higher-level killstreak vehicles have chaff, but that typically won't be a problem if you take care of the lower-level killstreak vehicles quickly. Edited by Nail Strafer, Jun 2 2010, 07:46 AM.

that's exactly what you should do. I do that myself, otherwise you'll be dying a whole lot off the spawn. And if you shoot the Harriers down, then you nip the streak in the bud, and most likely, there'll be no chopper gunner coming at all. You're invisible to both the chopper gunner and AC-130, so it's pretty easy to shoot them down with cold-blooded on. |

Just what I had in mind. Everything dead on earth, except us.

I haven't played it for a while now, but I think it's pretty awesome. Though I only play Multiplayer (still haven't finished the Campaign mode) I only take part in a maximum of around five matches, then I'd get fed up. I'm not a huge fan of shooters, I've only ever played one other shooter and that's the first Timesplitters. xP My perks are Ninja, Sleight of Hand and Stopping Power, but I occasionally alter my choice to Commando Pro as the third. Preferred weapon is the M16. I never bother shooting down air vehicles, I just try and get as many kills as I can from those that flee. I normally use a shotgun for my secondary weapon because I'm total crap with RPGs, but now that y'all mention it, I might try out the Cold-Blooded perk next time I'm on.
