The airbrush is my bitch

I hate this egotistical, stereotypical prick but I love this song. Every time I here it I tell myself that he basically raps how he wants a woman to antagonize him, possibly for an excuse to punch her, but it just turns out she was just so awestruck by his radiant godlihood that it took her a few minutes to muster up the courage to tell him how awesome he is. He then goes on about abandoning children, letting the killer of a man go free because he doesn't want to snitch, and just how awesome he is, he is your god you will bow down before him. Then I play it again. Edited by Badx, May 24 2010, 06:51 PM.

I don't think Gaga's actually bad. In fact, I consider her a really good pop artist. She knows how to play the game very well, straddling the line between quirky and accessible. And considering her musical beginnings, (she's capable of playing piano and singing wonderfully), she creates songs that are the least annoying and most catchy out of her contemporary colleagues. I don't think there's a song of hers that I remotely dislike. Ke$ha can go away, tho'. That girl is truly bottom of the barrel. =P |

I find myself listening to Gaga sometimes as well - I don't understand why though, her kind of music is usually the kind I dislike XP Also agreed on Ke$ha, I don't like her at all and she needs to go away. ALL HER SONGS SOUND THE SAME. |

Gaga's "Bad Romance" was one I forgot to mention previously. Though the lyrics were kind of blown clean off my mind after watching LK's "Leather Pants." I've been getting "I don't wanna be French" mixed up with "I don't wanna be friends" as of lately, even.

I always catch myself singing some of Lady Gaga's songs but i dont think she's that bad. Personally i think she tries too hard to be different. Yeah she needs to chill out with those videos lol As for Ke$ha i really like that Tick Tock song. And that Love Addiction what ever its called song. But im not ashamed of it She is a mess though. Her music's cool but as for her i think she's a douche bag xP

Can I just say I wholeheartedly agree with this statement. I can't stand rap these days... then again very few songs from nowadays catch my ear, I'm an avid old school listener. Hm, I'm not sure I'm actually embarrassed about some of the stuff I listen to. Well wait, there is stuff like this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ztM-uokyMRo Watch and be afraid, very afraid. I just realised it's like a blooming nightmare, haha. I still love it, though.I'd say Disco music of the 70s is my guilty pleasure. I'm a big fan of Kool and the Gang, Earth, Wind and Fire, The Jacksons, The Temptations, and some Donna Summers and Heatwave stuff, but I don't feel all that ashamed. *shrugs* xP http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I0PamtXZO70 I like this topic. Trust me; Old school disco, soul, and R&B from the 70s and 80s is not bad music. Don't let those kooky rock lovers over there tell you otherwise. xD;; I love old school-- The stirring vocalizations, the beautiful use of string and horn segments, and the maturity of the era actually makes it very cross-generational; This music probably makes up the majority of my radio-listening. When Roscoe Dash and Ke$ha are beating me down, I can always rely on Cheryl Lynn or the O'Jays or Deniece Williams to remind me just why I turned on the radio in the first place. |

=-D It's so great to find someone who feels the same. And you're right, there was a sense of maturity about it that I can't seem to find these days. All I hear is 'I got this and I got' that buzzin in my ears, haha. Everything seems so much more chuck full of materialism and superficiality than ever before, like its been through a processing machine. The R 'n' B of the 90s is still so fresh, but the stuff being churned out now all sounds the same. I get the feeling that those cooperate fiends care more about selling the image rather than the art. The oldies are so much more charming to me. Stevie Wonder, Marvin Gaye, James Brown's jams still groovin, I could listen to them all day. =3 Those were people that embodied music so profoundly that you could FEEL their expression of it. <3 |

I occasionally listen to GaGa because I have to, my mom likes it. And it makes me sad, because sometimes I realise her music is the most original thing to become pouplar this generation. Edited by Phoenix-Saturn, Jun 1 2010, 11:46 AM.

Dee. Kaos: That is 100% the way i feel. I LOVE old school R&B, disco , all that stuff. But basically all that you said is how i feel. I cannot listen to mainstream stuff. Most of the songs i have on my playlist arent even from this decade (= But man back then you could just FEEL the soul and emotion that poured out of those singer's throats. You made points too Bliz Shadow, idk why people hate on disco so much. It usually is the rocker scene who does lol |

This is an easy question. recently, by far, my guilty pleasure has been Kesha. I just find the beats ridiculously catchy. But I know after awhile, I'm going to get annoyed with her voice because her voice just seems like that kind of voice. I'm tiring of her finally thankfully, but yeah, I've pretty addicted to her for a week or two now.Really, if it's current, and has a catchy hook, there's a good chance it'll become my guilty pleasure for a good amount of time.
