Can't wait, Killzone 2 was the best FPS of 2009! There's even news how the graphics engine is being co-developed by Naughty Dog! Barring God of War 3 and Heavy Rain, Uncharted 2 still has the best graphics on consoles and heck Killzone 2 was ever so slightly behind it.

GamePro magazine’s got an upcoming feature on Sony’s Killzone 3. It’s just leaked onto the Internet. Hang on – Killzone-what-now? Killzone 3! Oh – you mean the game that was going to be announced at E3 but’s now been outed early? Yeah, that Killzone 3. Oh well, there’s another surprise ruined then – but the details are no less juicy.

Perhaps the biggest deal, as per the rumours, is that the game will support full 3D (alongside Sony’s upcoming firmware update and their new Bravia televisions). But not just any 3D – oh no – this is the killer-app for Sony’s tech. We’d heard mumblings that Killzone 3’s implementation of 3D would be a game-changer, and that’s exactly what’s stated in this issue of GamePro. Exact words: the 3D implementation is “crazy”. Nice. In addition to the 3D features, the game also includes jet-packs.

Thankfully, while Sev and co are back, the game will focus much more on Helghast culture. We’re not alone when we say the Helghast are by far the most interesting part of the Killzone lore, so we hope Killzone 3 ain’t all about Rico and his “rad-ass” buddies.

We’ve included a whole list of details after the jump (via Gamespot), and screens can be found through here. Consider it an early-E3 present. Who gives magazines these exclusives? They ruin everything.

* Will show the Helghast have humanity left in them
* Will have the feeling that “of being in a place far away from home, outnumbered by people who want to kill you.”
* Will be like Inglorious Basterds.
* All of the characters in the screenshots are flying in.. jetpacks?!
* Will include arctic levels.
* One mission in the game involves rescuing ISA Captain Narville.
* Game is playable in 3D
* Have to wear 3D glasses, apparently the 3D effects are “crazy.”
* Combat is “unchanged from predecessor.”
* Or is it? Hand to hand combat involves you “Unloading a string of different (and often brutal) attacks on stunned enemies.”
* The scale is supposed to be “bigger this time.”
* The Jetpacks are “surprisingly lightweight and agile, Killzone 3’s jetpack is easier to maneuver compared to the sluggish incarnations of the gadget found in other games.”
* New weapon called the Wasp, basically shoots a “flurry of rockets” at an enemy.
* Will show off the Helghast culture.
* There is actually a Helghast language, which will be explored in the game.
* Will have “diverse locales.”
* Have to sit in the center of the 3D tv for the 3D effects to work.
* 3D in this game is called a “Game Changer.”
* Going to have “Intense Action”
* Jetpacks double as a weapon, which basically means a machine gun mounted right on top of it.
* If you shoot Helghast with jetpacks, they’ll “explode like roman candles”
* To control the jetpack, you “have to activate bursts of speed in midair, propelling yourself across further distances.”
* The Jetpack resembles something you’d do in platformers such as Super Mario Bros. Or Uncharted
* In one mission, you have to use the jetpack by “launching yourself from glacier to glacier”
You’ll see “a lot of” snow levels.
* Everything is more spread out in this game.
* The game looks very complete.

New news, the environments will be COMPLETELY destructible. KZ2 had destructible environments but only certain scripted spots, not everything could be destroyed.

New Killzone 3 Teaser Trailer! Not really anything as far as the game goes but it does demonstrate the new melee mechanics of the game which is vastly improved and has very good animations. Sev puts on a helghast mask at the end, which is weird. I believe it's because they're stranded on Helghan and the masks are required if you are exposed to the atmosphere for long periods of time.

So by now, you're likely to have seen the debut teaser trailer for Killzone 3, and our small analysis of course. But Guerrilla producer Aryeh Loeb is now giving his comments on the game.

Over on the PlayStation Blog, Loeb has been replying to gamers' comments, with one stating that the story will concentrate more on the Helghan conflct.

"Story is a big focus point for Killzone 3." he said. "We are concentrating more on the Helghan side of the conflict. We will be supplying you with more info on that in the upcoming months."

He's also added that another trailer is one the way, this time showing off some gameplay, and that it "will show lots of variety".

"For Killzone 3 we are going to add a lot more variety. Variety in environments, weapons, gamplay, everything that you do from minute to minute. The soon to be released gameplay trailer will show lots of variety."

The game is set to arrive sometime next year, though nothing in stone has been announced. Expect to see more at E3? It's likely.

The melee looks awesome!! Killzone 3 will blow away KZ2 and KZ2 was an awesome game. Guerrilla has implemented a new gameplay tweak that allows you to slide into cover, Killzone 3 features the same great 1st person cover system as Killzone 2. Killzone 3's environment looks very similar to the industrial setting of Killzone 2, in an arctic region however; Guerrilla Games' has emphasized the environmental diversity of Killzone 3 countless times already. Clips of the new Brutal Me-lee system are shown in the trailer as including, neck breaking, kicking, and punching. Jet-pack gameplay was one of the primary highlights in the video; while airborne Sev attacked ground binded Helghast enemies as well as air-troopers with a machine gun mounted to his jet-pack.
