In fact, the executive believes we are only "in the first 25% to 30% of this generation", and he's pretty happy about where Sony's positioned right now. "I would say we're sitting in the catbird seat," Tretton told Fast Company. "We've just passed the third year of the PlayStation 3 and we're just hitting our stride. And I don't think anyone is saying, 'This is a five-year cycle; what's new on the horizon?' I can't even imagine what can be done technically beyond the PlayStation 3 in the near future. "A question I often get is when we are going to see PlayStation 4. When somebody can craft the technology that exceeds what we're able to do on the PS3, but we are still just starting to harness it." Source While this news doesn't really shock me too much, I wouldn't go by this guy's words too much, I'm sure if other companies revealed a new console then Sony won't be far behind.

I just hope they don't screw up the PS4 without Ken Kutaragi, I hope they don't dumb it down because the PS3 wasn't a complete domination. I hope it's a huge jump in power like every previous generation, why not have great games AND great graphics at the same time? That said, I don't see Microsoft or Nintendo making new consoles any time soon either.

I hope this is true. Anyway, Move and Natal are "supposed to be (make them) like a brand new system," so there you go!

Seriously, the people who want the new generation now are misguided. A new generation typically comes around when there is some sort of significant technological jump or achievement in the industry.. this is something that hasn't happened yet, meaning that the improvement from this generation to the next would be minimal at best.

So I wouldn't expect the PS4 to even be announced for another two or three years maybe. The PS2 will be ending this year likely finally, so the PS3 will finally be on its own without the PS2 still around. Yes the PSP is there, but that's a hand held, not a home console.
	I'm a gamer and always will be a gamer. If you don't believe me. I have 430 Video Games and 19 Consoles. I doubt you could beat that unless you are a gamer as well! =P So, let's see if you can outdo "The Jet Gamer"
