I still can't use this. Posts: 6,546 Group: Former Monarchs Member #6,722 Joined: March 16, 2008	Just a heads up that SB has rewritten its rules. Most of what has applied in the past still remains. But here, it's written more clearly and briefly so as to decrease confusion and apathy on part of members and staff. Here are some past issues that the new writing clears up-- When it comes to signatures, any and all text and images cannot exceed dimensions of 375 x 550 pixels and 250 KB; Spoiler tags have no impact on this anymore. Avatars cannot be more than 100 KB, even if uploaded from a url. If you want to find out whether your signatures and avatars are up to snuff and learn how to fix them: Spoiler: click to toggle To check file size and dimensions, right click on the image and view the properties. Add up the properties for multiple images. If you're using Chrome, you can either A) Save the images on your computer and go from there, or B) Right click > Inspect Element > Resources, and click on the appropriate images. If you need to downsize your images, you can easily work in Paint by selecting Image > Resize/Skew. However, if you care about image quality, you would be best served in a better program such as Photoshop. For Photoshop, open the image and click on Select > Select All > Edit > Transform > Scale. From here, you can resize an image by manipulating its actual pixel size or the percentage of its proprotions (the latter is recommended). Save the new image. If the images you are trying to downsize are animated, you can either use a free automatic resizer such as GiFResizer, or a more complicated program like ImageReady. With ImageReady, select all of the frames by clicking on each while holding the shift key and follow the above instructions for Photoshop. You can talk about piracy, hacking, and cracking, but you cannot ask for or provide related materials. We don't care about the possible legality or harmlessness on the subject you could prove to us either. Discuss, do not act. Our warning system has been redone. Your first initial offenses will simply result in verbal PMs explaining to you what you did wrong. Afterwards, physical warns and bans will be based upon your overall behavior here and the level of the offense. The same is true for repeal. If you have an issue with any disciplinary action, then PM and admin about your concerns. That should about do it. If you have any more questions or concerns, then post them here. Thank you.

HUG Heehee ^^ I wasn't at my most communicative the other night .... yeeeah, communicative, pretentious word there, maybe tonight's not any better... Still, let me try to be a bit more clear x3 On a small-scale, it's always better to let people make decisions than to let rules make decisions because people are privy to the unique dynamics involved. Sometimes the staff needs to make an exception to a rule, and sometimes they need to take action outside the rules. Therefore, the actual rules mean little and changes, even ones as big as this, have little effect. So, yeah, I'm not saying that the admins are a buncha evil oligarchs or anything x3 Edited by Katsuko, Mar 26 2010, 07:14 PM.
