OK, out of Xbox 360, PS3, and Wii, which one is your favorite? My favorite is PS3, 'cause it has BEAST graphics, FREE online gameplay... and, it's just awesome like that. |

^ Three words minimum please. Naturally I choose the Wii, I have always gone with Nintendo and I have never regretted it. |

The PS3. It's basically just like owning the 360 (It's got almost all the same games), except the online is free, you don't have to buy batteries for the controllers, and it won't break within a year. The only real downside is that you have to pay to get a headset. |

Oh wow, another PS3/360/Wiiin topic <3If I had the initial cash outlay for a PS3 I'd consider it. At least when you pay for XBL you get fantastic customer service - free interwebs doesn't strike me as reliable. I dislike the PS3 because of how they completely made a hash of the release over here in the UK, I mean Sony don't care about the people lining their wallets as far as I can tell. And I'm referring to stuff other than that cluster****. I hate to say it, but if I'm paying money for my gaming then at this point, Microsoft are the lesser of the two evils. Of course, this is based on emotion rather than anything substantial. I've been gaming for too many years, I'm sure master Strafer can relate to that. |

You see, I don't game online much, so crappier online service in exchange for it being free doesn't bug me much. My main draw to the PS3 is that it's a helluva lot more durable than the 360. I want to be able to play all the games I have now 20 years on down the road, so a system that will break quickly is a big turnoff for me. This is why whenever I have a choice between buying a game on the PS3 or the 360, I always get it on the PS3. And you know? This is why I still like Nintendo a lot. Their systems are practically built to last a lifetime. I'm still using the original SNES and NES I got over 20 years ago. The only reason why I don't have Wii here is that it's got a lot fewer titles I really, really like. Edited by Nail Strafer, Mar 17 2010, 06:43 AM.

Xbox 360 for me. The online play is superior, sure it costs money, but it's worth it. also shooters are my favorite genre, and 360 is the console to go to for shooters. and I think the hardware failures are decreasing, so that's not so much of an issue anymore. oh, and 360 and PS3 have near identical graphics, there is hardly a difference at all, so that's not really a factor to consider. |

The online service is not crappier when it comes to stability. There are things that live offers that PSN doesn't, like cross-game voice chat(where you talk to friends playing games that you are not) and et cetera, but PSN offers pretty much all of the same features. It also handles MAG, which is 256 players in a single game, as smooth as butter. Resistance 2 which is 30 vs. 30 is also smooth as butter. As for me, obviously PS3. Incredible graphics are one reason(Uncharted 2 and Killzone 2 are still unmatched by all but God of War 3) and games. I like playing franchises that I grew up with but I also like how Sony brings out many new franchises like Heavy Rain, InFAMOUS, et cetera.

They all have their advantages in my opinion. The 360's games that are shared with the PS3 are generally better made, while the PS3 has a Blue-Ray player and free online gameplay... And the Wii has motion sensors. |

PS3. I know I have an x box, but that was the more affordable option at the time. Since the PS3 has come down in price, i'm considering saving up for it. I really hate fanboys of the x box, cause no matter what they will always say the x box is better. The only better thin that the x box has is games and thats it. Now, PS3 owners can say theyhave a better game than Gears 2 and Halo...God of War 3! Can't wait to play that game. Wohoo! |

The 360 is my favorite, I prefer it's exclusive properties to the other 2 systems though I do like Killzone and God of War, they don't stack up to Halo and Gears IMO. The PS3 beats the 360 in graphics but it has yet to really outright kill the graphics battle as both systems have standout titles and look marvelous. The 360 is better designed, structurally, and the RROD problem is gone, pair that with an industry best online service and controllers that you don't have to buy batteries for (there are rechargeable packs, Nail, that are more than worth their weight) and is cheaper overall since it isn't cramming insta wi-fi and Blu-Ray/HD-DVD drives down your throat. The Wii was useless to me so it lost my support even as a backup console (Brawl is not a strong enough title to carry the system on it's own and interest me, especially since it's not as well-made as Melee), I would much prefer to have a PS3 and 360 as they play well off each other. |

Not this thread once more. Heh! I stand to what I said in the last ones. Xbox 360 for me, as I don't care about the amount with cash I use on live. All in all, it crashed on me once. So it's not the best reliable system out there. I still prefer the games, and controls specially above PS2, as I've never used the latest addition of controls, can't have much an opinion that is. I suppose you'll have to get used to them, that's all. |

We certainly like to make this topic over and over don't we? I guess I'll list them in the order I see them. Right now, Wii is number one for me, mostly since I'm still playing Gamecube games as well as the Wii games. Its just convenient and I've never had once single problem with it ever. That's one thing with Nintendo, reliability, which I want for a collector like myself. The PS3 I think is second, mostly because for one, online is free, but I dont online game, so that's not a problem for me. Sony is reliable too. Sure I've only had it for a little while now, but it also being the blueray player I'm sure will be cool later at some point. The 360 is last for its crappy reliability. I've had so many problems with these console that I am often time scared to buy games for it, for fear of disks being damaged or the machine not reading disks and such. This console has been nothing but a pain for me. Sure I like its features and games, but the reliability problems are such a turn off to me. |

I'm a gamer and always will be a gamer. If you don't believe me. I have 430 Video Games and 19 Consoles. I doubt you could beat that unless you are a gamer as well! =P So, let's see if you can outdo "The Jet Gamer"
