I don't know if anyone watched spike TV but they unveiled a new trailer for GOW3 and it's a trailer of an updated version. HOLY COW!!! The graphics surpass that of Killzone 2, Uncharted 2, and Heavy Rain and those are the graphics kings right now. Aside from graphics the gameplay looks awesome, Kratos is just a tiny spec on those huge titan's arms.
And here is the episode showing new footage. http://www.gametrailers.com/episode/gametrailers-tv/85&ch=1&sd=0?ep=85&ch=1&sd=0

HO-LY GOD (of war)

These graphics are freaking me out big time, It's going to be a real exhausting experience when I play a game of this scale to completion.

I played the demo. Two words:

FREAKIN' SWEET.

I haven't played a GOW game since 1, and I must say, it's really come a long way. :D It was loads of fun (I won't spoil it for those of you who haven't seen or played the demo), and I'm definitely getting this.

BTW, I amassed a 137-hit combo. By GOW standards, is that good? I'm out of the loop.

It's "ok"

If you played GOW 2, then you can rack up, I think 999,999 hits if you do the following things

1: have the urn that gives you infinite titan mode energy

2: Go to the arena(?) and have enemies that wont die unles you use a heavy attack (the lava minotour golems for example)

3: Use the attack where Kratos continually spins his blades in a wide circle.

4: Tape the button and check periodically.

5: Get 999,999 and you get a website to visit.

The reviews are pouring in and this game is a huge hit! God of War 3 proves that it still owns the hack n' slash genre. All the imitators like Dante's Inferno and Darksiders are just good imitations.

I have a friend who pre-ordered it. I'll just nip at his heels 'till he lets me borrow it. XD

There was absolutely no doubt that this game was going to be a hit. I wouldn't be surprised if it won game of the year, it would definitely have earned it.

I got the game! The first boss battle is impressive, better than the Hydra and Statue guy from GOW2. Also the titans dwarf Shadow of the Colossus's bosses in scale, they are so massive! Still playing through it though and I haven't come close to beating it.

... It took me roughly seven hours to beat. (Shocker.)

I will admit, God of War 3 does a damn good job in almost every department. Graphics, sound, gameplay, everything is absolutely perfect in terms of specs. But the real downfall with this game is it's length. This is the Achillies Heel of the God of War series. Joke intended.

Not really, God of War 2 took me 13 hours to beat. It can be beat quickly(heck the originals can be beat in under 5 hours if you're very good at them), but most people won't even be close to beating GOW3 in 7 hours.

Well I finally beat the game. It's pretty awesome, the Chronos Level was massive!! Even bigger than the titan levels in the beginning. The pacing was excellent as well, it kept you wanting more. The puzzles were great, just like the previous GOW games, albeit slightly easier to figure out. And the weapons! I loved all of the different weapons they had in the game, it was much better than how they did things in the previous games.

The story is as good as some of the best available in gaming, especially if you are eager to find out what happens after GOW2's cliffhanger. That said, I preferred Heavenly Sword's story to GOW3s. It's such a shame that a great game like Heavenly Sword got murdered by the media and rabid fanboys. It was just as good of a game as God of War, it was a classic, but back in 2007 the media had a vendetta on the PS3 and anything that was good was tarnished and not given credit for being great games. Happened with Warhawk, Heavenly Sword, Uncharted, etc. Finally things have changed, but it's just such a shame what happened to Heavenly Sword and now people are finally giving credit where credit is due.
