A long time ago, a young warrior was told to settle the island for his father's kingdom. On his arrival though, he discovered the island was cursed. The very trees were alive, and soon all of his thousands of troops were swallowed into the sand. The young warrior fought his way into the center of the isle, where he fought until he died. His sword still lies in the center. The sword is worth countless money. Now the sword will be reclaimed. Edited by King of Kings, Jan 19 2010, 04:01 PM.

My character is Feona, the red fox that is.\\ In almost midst of nowhere lies a small island sad to inhabit different kind of folks. We'll find our self in a small encampment north-east, whereas a few hunters have been associated to seek out one of the lost relics. A red fox, name's Feona have joined forces and is about to set out for her first recruitment since last October. Obvious reasons, she can't live without a share amount with income.

A faint snort came from the other voluntarily hunters. At first a small meeting would take place. "I welcome you to Marakash the household of the ancient sword lost after a vicious battle endured. It is most valuable and I make sure to hand out a reward to each who'll make it." The chief of the operation team briefed the crew about certain information around this mission. A human male raised his hand, but didn't wait for approval. "What's this about who'll make it. Should we know..." The chief held forth his hand to silence him. "Please don't ask before I'm done. There's questions afterwards if needed. But I'm sure all information will be accounted here and now." He paused for a few seconds, before taking a deep breath. "Now then! Where was I?" He asked him self, but didn't seek answers in return. "Yes, well this sword have been lost for decades, and it's no doubt hard to find, but there's also rumours that it's been taken and removed in a remote location on this island. Secrets my men and woman. We must stick together or the chance that one of us will be killed is the likeability of truth."

It almost felt like he was being watched, but by what? The chief's speech didn't make him feel any better either. The night air chilled him as he edged closer to the fire. Thank goodness he wasn't setting out tonight, the light during the day would help his visibility and combat skills. The temptation to set out by himself was very strong, but he knew he couldn't. It would be the last anyone saw of him. He would have to put his life in the hands of his fellow hunters. Could he even trust these hunters? After all they were complete strangers. Just then one of the hunters approached him, a human. " Do you think the chief is telling the truth? Do we even have a chance to get this sword?" "I don't know." He found his bed and settled in for the last good night's sleep he knew he'd have for a long time. Edited by King of Kings, Jan 23 2010, 03:46 PM.

Each one could've known better how to handle the situation if they'd knew what their up against. Most of the team settled under their sheets. It didn't take much time before Feona followed the other's example. The main encampment was surrounded with forest, whereas too the north lies a small trail that takes them back towards the boats and the beach. It didn't take long until the next morning, and the commander ordered the crew to wake up. Feona rubbed her eyes, before she realised it was morning already. Shame after all she hadn't had such a wonderful dream in decades. And with as little possible luggage, most of the tools would be left behind. Only the necessary equipment was to be taken along. The fox was finished and all set to move on. The same human who obvious looked a nervous freak was little reassuring about the whole team's safety.

" We can't wait all day sunshine," came the chief's voice. Zadok reluctantly sat up and realized he was the last one to wake up. Grumbling, he sorted through his gear. Aside from food and water, he didn't want to get weighed down with unnecessary belongings. He decided to bring his trusty sword with him, along with a long knife in case something happened to his sword. He also packed his share of firewood. " You won't want to cut these trees down," the chief had said, " Or they may cut you down." Just then, the same man who had approached him last night appeared again. " Well life was fun while it lasted," he grumbled. " I don't know about you, but I don't intend to fail," Zadok said coldly. The man mumbled something Zadok didn't catch and walked away. "If sunshine here has gotten enough sleep, then we can set out," the chief announced.

I assume we're in control of the same obnoxious crazy human. Heh!\\ "Lead on then!" The final words had been set. A male lion was the second officer and would obvious walk ahead of the others. Each one in a certain line. Feona had been so unfortunate to walk with the nervous human behind. It wouldn't take much time, before she would turn around and let him know what this mission involves. For now she tried to remain calm, and looked forth. But wouldn't take to much nonsense when there's two other who can answer what needs too know. It doesn't take them much time before the forest is left behind. Now the a small area of dense bushes and scattered tree's while most of the environment is clear. Nice atmosphere if this would've been paradise. However that's not about to last forever.

He glanced to either side of him, looking for any sign of danger, but failed to spot any. They were making decent time, the lion at the front was setting a brisk pace, and Zadok was content to match the pace. He heard a tiger in conversation with another tiger behind him, " Can we trust the chief? I think he's leading us into a trap, then he will get to keep the sword, it makes sense to me," the first tiger said. " Shhhh," the second tiger whispered," If he hears us, who knows what he'll do to us." Zadok decided to interject," I think the chief is telling the truth, though if we had more details, I would feel a little better." "You think?" the second tiger asked. " Hey, let up on him, he's one of the few actually using his brain at least," the first tiger said. " If you say so. Hey I think our stop for lunch is ahead," the second tiger responded. Zadok felt relieved to hear a break coming up. But he was surprised they hadn't run into trouble yet. That would soon change.

The hand meant halt, and so did the unit following behind the male lion. "Five minutes." She hadn't even received some worn feet. But in the end, a small break would be fine. Taking a seat with a bottle off water in her hand. Taste quencher at it's best when outdoors. "Can I have some?" The human approached, and with his puppet eyes she couldn't resist. Even if she found it peculiars he hadn't taken some water on his own. "Thanks." Before he started gurgling down almost half of her water. "Hey... hey! Don't take all of it. It's meant to last for a while." She snatched the bottle from his hands. Disappointed he carried on.

He only had 5 minutes, so he had a small snack to go along with it. Just then the two tigers who were walking behind him came up to him. " Hey, you got any food?" the first one asked. Though he knew he shouldn't, he shared some bread with the two tigers. " Hey kid, you're alright. I'm Devon. And here's my brother, Billy," the first one said. Zadok grinned and said," I'm Zadok. Pleased to meet you." " The pleasure's ours kid. Hey stick with us, and the 3 of us will get that sword and get out of here in one piece," Billy said. "Time to move out," the lion at the front called.

The fox continued to follow down the trail with the others. Five minutes later, the scenery become serious. "Boom... Boom." Gun shots, and the one who didn't see em coming was their secondary officer. "O! My God. Leslie is down." One of the hunters reacted at once to dive forwards to avoid another fatality. Feona looked at the available cover sites, and used the close tree nearby. Her firearm firmly in the hand, but she couldn't see the enemies. "Can anyone see them." She decided to ask, nervous and of course almost panicked that there was noone out there." "Leslie." One of the hunters tried to see if he was still alive. "Damn." The wolf utters out, as the lion had been taken out.

He had just heard gunshots and saw ahead that their leading lion had been taken out. Zadok ducked behind a tree. His new tiger friends ran up behind him. "Did you see where the shots came from?" Devon asked breathlessly. Zadok shook his head and peaked around the tree. A wolf had just checked on the lion, only to see he was dead. The wolf decided to take it upon himself to take the lion's place. So he signaled for everyone to follow, but cautiously. As Zadok walked by the lion corpse, he stooped down and snatched the lion's rifle. Who knows, it may come in handy. The echidna continued along the path, looking for danger. He saw none, and the sun was beginning to set.

And hesitated when the wolf wished for them to continue ahead even with one of their allied taken down. Their best choice was to keep and low profile. Stay wary of any more casualties. As each hunter tried to locate where the enemies are. Another wave from the wolf's hand, this time towards east of their trail. The enemies had been sighted. Now to prep for the launch of bullets in an array back and forth. "Blast them back men." That's when most of the team started to fired at something moving.

He squinted in the direction everyone was looking at. To his shock, it appeared they were a cross of wolves and humans. "What are these things?!" he gasped. They were closing quickly, running on all fours. They had 2 arms in addition to their four legs. Zadok whipped out his rifle and fired a few rounds into the closest one. It stumbled, then fell to the ground. There were countless of them though. " Hold the Line!!" the wolf leader screamed. Zadok steeled himself, the wolves were almost on them. He pulled out his sword. Zadok lunged and dug it deep into a wolf's chest. The hunters were being swarmed.
