Sandopolis Act 2
|
Taylor got to his feet on his side of the cage, breathing heavily. No time to waste, he thought, conjuring a fireball in his right hand by instinct as he glared across the "ring." It was high time he started fighting in earnest, with everything your "average" superhuman would normally muster. No more fooling around. Time to go dervish. |

The crowds waited, waited and waited until the wolf made his first move. Disoriented and confused, blinked twice before he realised he's in the utmost cruel arena he's encountered so far. With a swift turnaround, the wolf watched the current thick bars that stretched all around him and his rival. Now on all four, the wolf concentrates little on the human, but on the actual element. With no thought considering to charge straight forwards. Adrian starts to walk, before accelerating in a 115 (\ Assume this is the angle,) degrees angle. Likeliness of the fire connect was above what Adrian had wished for. Yet he couldn't draw his sword, and focused to shorten down the distance and when or if the chance occurs, STRIKE. The little sound that echoed from the crowds. How the walls look less intimidating and far more prehistoric from previous rounds. It was almost like an basic fashioned arena. Just what the wolf had wished for. Edited by DragonFlame, Jan 4 2010, 10:58 AM.

Taylor pivoted and jumped back as Adrian dashed past him. "Huh. No more messin' around." Focusing, for the moment, on the imminent struggle, he sprung towards the wolf and made to drive his fire-wrapped fist into Adrian's fur and set his foe alight. Depending on how that went, he'd end up with a good view of two of the other fights. |

Not sure what to expect at first view, answers were about to be revealed however. It wasn't an ideal situation as he continued to stray sideways and knowing the human shortened the distance with each second. And the walls surrounded him, could even leave him cornered in the end, making it all to easy for Taylor. He had to look for alternatives, and fast. In the end, all he could come up with was to throw him self further sideways. The fire would connect no more then thin air, however the consequences ended with the wolf hitting the wall surrounding them. A scratch on both left thigh and left arm, as he tumbles back on all feet. Knowing his rival could achieve what he didn't succeed at first. Whatever let's strike and see how things go. Still in an awkward situation and it wouldn't prove effective, but it's all or nothing. A real fast turn, before he sent him self forwards in slight mid-air. His intention where to knock the human over, as nether claw or teeth could prove effective. He reached for the human arms/chest area. Some would even refer it as a reckless move out of share stupidity with little chance to connect, but it's the thought about survival that means something. At the same time, a slight hearing of a cracking sound from behind. The wall crept closer from all sides. The awareness where slim and most out of mere sound, but he knew something where amiss. Sandopolis Act 2
|
Right after getting slammed into the bars, Taylor spun around, drawing his handgun, and struck at Adrian with it as the length of metal that was its barrel. Taylor tasted blood, probably his own, as he felt at least one tooth shaken from its moorings. His entire left arm hurt from the shoulder as his collarbone had been slammed into one of the bars. Still, through the pain, he made a slashing motion with his left arm, drawing a line of fire that floated to the cage floor, from which that weird bluish-grey smoke rose. He intended to use the smokescreen to buy himself time to get an accurate shot off. |

Blinded, like he wouldn't know what to make out of the situation. The likeliness he's now officially the hunter's prey on the run. Alas an old trick from previous match could still save him from a humiliating loss. The smoke would be the humans own undoing when Adrian tries to stray towards his left, in his rival's shadow form. Yet the whole arena was out of order. And even with a slight touch from physical objects, even the wall it self, that crouched closer to both Taylor and Adrian with each minute passed. It could mean...! "Damn!" The wolf snaps out of a possible escape route, as the wall continues to seek the inner sanctum of this small room. The effect wore off, and even if he's in a different location, the human had still an advantage. Now was that the sound of a firearm loading. "Crap!" Was the few words he uttered out realising the chance being shot is there. With haste he looked towards his feet, all he found was the floor. Damn no tactical approach available. He's stuck and doomed to have a life threatening wound. Hmm... What if he could sacrifice one of his arms to make a foolish attempt to pull out his arm, from where the bullet is fired from. And hopefully it won't suffer the same fatalities if he would take the bullet elsewhere. Rather intimate this room feels, as the walls can almost be seen available on all sides, but that's all he ever had been able to look at, while he tried to use his shadow ability. With little success to see what's going on outside, not just because of the blue smoke, but also it's not the first thing to look out for while considering his life more important. Sandopolis Act 2

Taylor's foe seemed to shimmer a few times as he moved around to keep from getting shot. At the rate this was going, the first combatant in this cage to get a substantial hit on his foe would have a distinct edge during what remained of the fight. Taylor, raising his weapon for what seemed the sixth time in as many seconds, resolved to draw the first blood. Taylor took aim, took a breath, and got a lungful of his own smoke, dropping him to his knees for a while. He still tried to draw a bead on Adrian, aimed at a likely shadow (The place was getting pretty small, how many wolf-shaped figures could there be through his smokescreen?) and squeezed the trigger, firing the shot and likely taking out his and his foe's eardrums. Again. |

It's done. The small sound from where the bullet is been released from it's firearm went off with a boom. What better then to seek the smoke filled floor, his move wasn't flawless as he'd obvious misjudged whereas it'd come from. Adrian whimpered as it felt like part of his right shoulder/chest area had been punctured. The smoke wouldn't last forever and soon both could see each other face to face. This is the hour when he need to stand inches from the human nemesis of his, and attack relentlessly with teeth and his still functional arm. By removing all thoughts about defence, the wolf rushes forth and will make a move to take a bite at the humans lower area. If taken down a few notches, Adrian will persistently continue with his still functional arm, and bite ferociously until ether one of them takes the final blow. It's all or nothing. Sandopolis Act 2
|
Adrian was charging, and unless Taylor did something, it would spell castration at the very least. Then the bars started grinding and screeching, oh gods my EARS! He fell to his knees, trying to keep composed enough to keep track of his foe, who'd probably be suffering more from the latest aural development. Whatever the hell was happening, though, Taylor knew there was more time on the clock now. With his free right hand, Taylor lunged for Adrian's head as a fireball began existence in his grip, with a ferocious yell that was mostly drowned out by the cacophony of the halted walls. |

"Screech!" It sounded like last time he visited his dentist when the walls made a fast approached halt. In matter of fact, last time there was a hole in one of his teeth. Knowing the sound as it starts to whirr around. The wolf smells fire, and with no chance to avoid direct contact, the wolf have no other choice then to actually widen his mouth at the fullest. Swallow the humans hand, from there use whatever water still in his mouth to doze the flame wielder's hand. The likeliness this won't succeed is there, and he'd likely suffer a brain seizure and much often say, unable to continue. Edited by DragonFlame, Jan 14 2010, 02:14 PM.

Sandopolis Act 2

Taylor winced as Adrian's jaws clamped around his fist, it would make his fireball more taxing to maintain, especially with the noise from the bars. He began to concentrate on detonating it, causing his foe's head to explode... then he felt something wet and rough against his knuckles, breaking his concentration on the fireball, leading to it going out. Crap. Still, with Adrian's death-grip on his hand and the bars still closing in, neither of them were about to go anywhere... then Taylor got another idea. He lunged again, going for the inevitable pressure point on the neck, just below the sides of the jaw. Let's see him get outta this. |

Smite the God! With no possible chance to retreat, Adrian lost his jaw, and loosened the grip on Taylor's hand. With both eyes blanked out, the wolf seized it's attack, with tremendous hard time breathing and he knew this was it. The human have indeed sword righteous towards their famous nature to always win over the vicious animal. It's the same here and now. Even the mere sound from walls now obvious about to finish the work. The wolf's beaten and unable to continue. He just lies there unable to move his muscles as if a whole numbness lifted all of his body. Some perilous words were able to shun the weakened wolf. "Nice.... Cough! Move..." Before he completely silenced with a faint grunt. |
