A signature is just that-- a signature, a small yet unique facet of your identity
You call it a facet of your identity, I call it free adspace. C:

On Freeway City, we actually axed the [flash] tags altogether. People only ever use them for Youtube videos, which you can just as easily link to if you want people to see them.

So yeah, we gotta crack down on sigs.

TIME TO REALLY EXPLODE!
At least it's not a blinky fest here like it was on Sonic Zone.

Regardless, I agree with getting rid of the [flash] tag altogether. As said, any videos pertaining to a discussion can be hyperlinked. God forbid you have to open a new tab or window to see the video. XD

Nevertheless, some sigs need to be cracked down upon.

I have a suggestion: Another forum I frequent, MTG Salvation, has a system called "Extendo Sig", in which your normal forum signature is pretty short, but you can link to a post in a topic that contains whatever you would put in a sig, but would be too large.

This can alleviate the dial-up and slower internet users, because they don't have to click on the link to the macro and youtube collages. And people can check out your sig if need be.

I don't agree with removing the flash tags... it's just a simple thing to keep them out of people's signatures.

I wasn't suggesting that we remove the flash tags here, I was simply mentioning that's how it's done on a forum I'm an admin at.

Pay no heed to it. Flash tags on SB are too popular to remove.

And as such, 'The Heretic', I have removed your signature for containing the flash, as I was ordered to do.
If you replace the flash in your signature, it will be seen as an act of heresy to the Imperium of Man non-compliance and there WILL be consequences.
We only do it because we love you.
Okay... *Backs away slowly*
Anyway, despite having used to have had a video in my signature, I'm actually for removing the flash tags now. I just never knew they fudged up browsers before now. But, yes; is it really that difficult to open a new tab? I've actually found that videos download a lot faster when in a seperate tab for some reason.
