This morning I awoke, after a brief walk about and such I went back to bed, resting and trying to go back to sleep. I did. Not long afterward in my dream, I felt some control on my dream, and was visualizing a comicish story of Sonic and such with my two characaters, Vlad and Gothienreich. Vlad http://www.majhost.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?i=1579182 Goth http://www.majhost.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?i=1886214 Theres a reason I showed them later. Soon I could see a robotnik like device flying over the Acorn Palace, thinking Goth had taken it(Since I imagined him making a allience with Robotnik or Snivley). As I saw it, in my mind I said "demented gothienreic." It wasen't him. The visual changed to first person view as I could now see the pilot. It wasen't him, and it sure as hell was not robotnik. This thing took his form. He was puke green, his eyes little and red, his grin was straight, smiling. Thats when it happen. I awoke, my body shaking and out of my control to where I could feel my own front teeth. My brain felt like something was washing over it, and as soon as it came, it stopped... Nothing like that should of scarred me, and as I awoke the thought of demon attack came to mind, something that snuck into my dream beyond my spirit guardians watch. I feel its gone now and other then the horror of what happened, I feel normal again. Of course I read and found out it could be fear induced trama, but how in the world can something that would not cause me to freak out would give me the worst feeling of waking up ever? This has never happened before and I am often fearful, and when I went to bed I had mostly banished all my fears. I'm going to talk to a friend of mine about it later when I get back. Im sure people will say on one side it was a demon attack and the other will say fear induced drama, but I feel the former fits then the latter since something of so simple of a design and the fact that its very image appeared just as soon as I awoke just feels too coincidental. Then again who knows. I am just glad for now its gone. |

I'm not sure what a waking dream is. As I said, I woke up after going to sleep and went back to bed abit later. It's hard to recall. My mom believes I had a panic attack in my sleep, and apart of me does. But I haven't suffered a panic attack in a while. Maybe it was, cause I remember around after the first time I woke up or something, images that previously didn't disturb me came back and they started to disturb me. A waking dream is where you're half asleep and are aware of your surroundings, but you can't move, and some especially weird shit can happen. It usually happens when you sleep upwards, so sleep on your side if this is the case. |

I object to your claims

^Also known as 'Sleep Paralysis' Anyway, I'm thinking that was a fear-induced nightmare you had. |

What moron would say it's a demon attack? Maybe in primitive cultures or radical religious sects. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sleep_paralysis Really now, do some research. It's not an uncommon thing. |

Hey, don't insult him because you think it's ridiculous. He afterall only described a normal dream, I was the only person here to even mention waking dreams. |

It probably wasn't a night terror, like this topic title is suggesting what you thought it was...A night terror only happens in NREM sleep, or deep sleep, and often involves physical factors such as sweating or suddenly crying out in your sleep, or struggling to get away from something. |

You also don't generally remember night terrors; one tends to be unconscious while they occur. I've had many experiences with sleep paralysis, mostly in my early teens, even wrote about them. And yes, I consider people stupid when they think a demon is in their head because they suddenly wake up while dreaming. Step out of the pentagram and into a corporeal, logical world, seriously now. |

Well you must be stupid for disregarding an argument because you think with your opinion, that it's stupid, I don't personally believe in demons or angels, but taking a book out of Darwinists, you can't over look something because it's probability is extremely slim, and you can't actually believe that if one person and another person is wrong, means your 100% right, it probably means your wrong too. |

Just because you don't believe in something, doesn't mean its moronic to think that it does exsist. |

While I MAY agree with your point, you're making your point in a rather rude manner, 18- a TROLLING manner. So cut the insults dude, or you're going to get warned. |

How about this. 1) He didn't say whether or not he believed it was a demon attack, only that people would. I was insulting these hypothetical people, and do not retract my insult. 2) I am insulting it because there is absolutely no evidence at all that it could have even possibly been a demon attack, and because it is an incredibly common phenomenon in sleep that is easily explained by a quick Google search. It's not like religion where either one could be right and it's all down to dogma, it's saying that even though something is perfectly explainable through logical methods we might as well throw in some loony paranormal explanation because we can FeeL tHe SuNsHiNe. Let's all get a little common sense and realize that just because someone disregards an opinion openly it doesn't mean that opinion shouldn't be disregarded. You all think it's ridiculous as well and are just being self-righteous. Now, can this be locked? I think this spooky event has been explained well enough by the anonymous writer of that Wikipedia article. |

How about I put it into the final perspective for you Eighteen. Nothing gives you license nor authority to order a moderator around or to ignore a valid directive from one. The only reason this topic should be locked would be because of your misconduct, which either way you would half-win since discussion couldn't go on. Makes me wonder whether not you deliberately provoked this for that reason but then again maybe I'm just going on a tangent here. I'm going to allow discussion to continue, and you are going to be served with a Warn since you've already been given two verbals, one of them for this incident already. If you disrupt this further, you will be Warned again and so on. |

TIME TO REALLY EXPLODE!

XD Serious business. Anyway, the symptoms sound like myoclonic epilepsy. Well, I personally thought epilepsy because of the aforementioned shaking. Did a search on it and came to this article on WebMD. I'd honestly tell your parents and go see a doctor, but that may be the hypochondriac in me talking. Edited by D-Metal X, Nov 11 2009, 08:14 PM.
