SHIT I JUST GOT ROLL'D Also, yay for piracy. 95%...that should tell iTunes and Napster something, as well as the labels who think CDs should be twenty bucks apiece. Over two thousand texts monthly? I send, like...eight? I'm personally looking forward to a future in which we're more connected, but not so much to how it will be controlled. Look at right now: governments are targeting things like online bullying when they should be going after the spammers and virus-makers. The problem with the latter (dunno about the former) is that it actually makes money. So we need to look at our morality a little more heavily as what we do directly affects more and more of the global population. |

Serious. Won't that make it difficult to make sure you ain't forgetting something. Mobile phone at the size of a blood cell, or whatever. I bet that was a cheesy joke. The other information is more obvious I think. And heck, I'm with Eighteen on this one. I usually send about 10 to 20 messages each month. Hell, 2000 is way to much. |

Mobile devices, really? I would say the ol' laptop and desktop will be here to stay for awhile because of the gaming market. You really can't effectively play Call of Duty 4 on an iPhone.

Very true. That's what I was thinking, myself. Also, browsing on phones is so annoying. I'd much rather use a desktop, even over the convenience of a laptop. |

Unless the phone reads my mind and knows what I want to type I will never get another phone unless it's given to me for free. (It's happened twice before) |

Don't forget about how the labels like to wield the DMCA around like a big bludgeon. I mean...goddamn. Suing average people for millions of dollars that they are never going to be able to repay in their lifetimes. I mean, yeah...it's the criminal's fault he got into this mess. But such outrageous punishment just makes me feel sympathy for him instead of the labels. Just cause you have the law on your side doesn't mean you should be a big bully. Well, in my opinion, they shouldn't have the law on their side . Many artists and even game companies now love piracy, because they can look beyond "they're getting things and not paying me for it". In the long run, it's profitable. But that's a conversation for another thread, I think.

In what possible way is the piracy part 'pretty sad'? It's awesome. It should be 99.9%. What sort of retard would actually pay for music anyway? |

Flying Battery Act 2

If nobody paid for their music, there would no longer be any professional musicians. The only people who would be musicians would be people who are ok with doing it for free. I'm not sure what kind of effect that would have on the quality of music though. On one hand, music couldn't be made with huge budgets anymore. On the other...hey...more people might feel free to experiment and bring passion to the art form since money isn't their motivator. |
