"Yes commander, that is what they are called." Lamoon walked over to the commander. "Hey Chief," he began. "If you people need a lot of supplies, I can help. I helped the Doc. create a special portal to store objects, and I can provide your soldiers with some of them to let them carry more weapons and such."

" he said , as a soldier walked up next to him. "we're ready sir." he said in a salute. "good, if you will all come this way. " the commander said, leading them back tithe control room. The screen showed a radar showing the ships surounding half the earth. The radar was positioned an the ARK, which GUN now had a base on in case of such attacks, but due to a lack of chaos emeralds, thy could not use the eclipse cannon to strike the enemy. "We've decided to send Drones up for a suprise attack" the soldier said, indicating the Radar screen.

He and Iven ran to look at the radar. "Damn, this is not good!" he said. Iven nodded in agreement. "Commander, observe." he said, closing his eyes. An image of space appeared in the minds of the commander, the soldiers, Midnight and all the others. In the image, several small ships appeared, having cloaked beforehand. The ships resembled eyes with two wings and two horns on the top and bottom. "Fly-eyes!" Lamoon hissed. Quickly, the ships began to fly towards the Drones. A charge of energy appeared between each pair of horns and shot at the Drones, the energy spiraling in large, rapid circles. "Iven, look!" said Lamoon, noticing something in the image. Iven focused and said, "Oh dear." Now brought into veiw was a smaller, likely one-man ship. The ship was longer than the others but not as large, and instead of resembling an eye it appeared to resemble an axe or a dragonfly in shape. Each of the four wings vibrated with a brilliant golden energy and shed similar particles, and the tail seemed much more flexible than the rest of the ship. The dragonfly's 'head' had one large 'eye' where the cockpit was, and six 'legs' were folded underneath it acted as landing gear. "Sigma!" they both shouted. At the very moment they realised who was piloting the odd vehical, the large cannon-like weapon attached to the end of the tail began to glow with blue energy. The energy fired at a cluster of drones, and upon touching them, made them malfunction and fall. "Commander, get those Drones out of there!" Iven shouted, sounding somewhat frantic for the first time. "Sigma's Dragondancer is equipped with a powerful EMP cannon on the tail. The large war head struck the falling robots, and destroyed them before they could impact and cause damage. Thirty more drones were launched again, this time followed by humans ships, which could remotely move them to evade laser fire from the smaller ships. " We should help!" Pos and Neg said bravely. "we can't fight in space, we have to wait to see if they get the chance to land. then we can fight." Ace explained to the children.

"Better to fight them here, on the ground, then to fight the up in the air where they have such a incredible advantage." Rat threw three small orbs at the ground. The orbs bounced once and popped in a burst of smoke. Two small two-man ships and a single-man ship were where the orbs had once been. "If we're gonna do this, we gotta do this right, and to do something right we've got to do it ourselves." he said. The two ships had two seperate cockpits each, one for the pilot and one for the gunner. The ships were shaped like shields on their sides, and like shields they were heavily protected. Four thin but strong legs kept the ships standing, and twin energy guns were attached to the underside of the shield. "When the gunner pulls the control stick to the side, the gun and cockpit rotate. The pilot is in control of the EMP missiles, but I didn't have enough time to hook that many on. Each ship has five missiles, so use them wisely." Lamoon told them as he walked over to his own ship. Lamoon's ship was much thinner than theirs but had a larger cockpit. It somewhat resembled the barrel of a gun. Lamoon jumped in the cockpit of his ship and auto-harness fastened over him. He gripped the two controls and turned them horizontally, then pulled then backwards slowly. His seat went backwards and a white helmet came from the seat and surrounded his head. A blue visor appeared over his eyes, and the cockpit's hatch closed. "Use your mind to fly the ship, direct it with your thoughts." he said before the steel hatch closed over him. Inside it was pitch black, save for the glow of his visor. He squeezed the controls gently, and images of his surroundings appeared both on the walls of the cockpit and the display of his visor.

"Shotgun!" Neg yelled as he dove into the gunner seat. Pos steped into the piolt seat and the ship closed, applied the harrnesses, and the helmets. Ace and midnigt were left with the last one. "I don't know about this, we don't know how to fly." midnight said. "Speak for yourself!" ace replied, crossing his wings. "he said it's mind controled, how hard can it be?" he took the gunner seat and midnight took the pilot position. She observed the heads up display that was in her helmet, it showed ship status, amount of EMP missles left, and speed, and other impotant statistics. Ace's currently Had only two bars to show if the guns overheated, but he guessed that it also had a targeting system. "okay! Lets do this!" the twins yelled.

"Let's go!" he said over the communications system. He pulled two bungie-like cords down from the ceiling, one in each hand, and hooked them around a pair of pressure-sensite hooks. The cords pulled the hooks upwards and held them tought. The ship's four legs folded and flattened against its body as the hover engine activated. He turned the controls counterclockwise twice and pushed forward quickly. The ship shot out of the hanger and into the open blue of the sky.

"oh yeah, I'm the gunner not the pilot." He said. They all shot after Lammon. An alert came up in the control room. "sir, we have unidentified air craft leaving the base!" He ordered a transmission to them. A voice came onto all the ship's speakers. "unidentified aircraft, you do not have clearance to take off, or to this air space. land now, or lethal force will be used."

Those still in the base would see Lamoon as well. "Sorry Chief, I've got a touch of the wanderlust. Can't sit still, you know? Don't worry about Midnight and the others, they're in good hands. See ya!" he said rapidly before the Commander could respond. He quickly severed the connection. Smiling, Iven, suddenly calm said, "Do not worry, Commander. Lamoon is a dedicated soldier. I suspect that he plans to ground the enemy vessels to force them down to the ground where your soldiers can take care of the rest."

"what he's going to do is get them all killed!" He said before turning to yell at a soldier. "make them land those ships!" The soldier tried to do so, but the un-earthly system confused them all. The commander simmered in silence, watching them leave the base.

"Just wait Commander." he told him, standing patiently with his hands behind his back. "Too slow!" Lamoon yelled as he avoided enemy fire. The red lights on his ship's wings and tail fin glowed, and rapid blasts of energy shot at the enemy ships. The ship was quickly shot down. Lamoon turned the ship around to flee from a group of enemies. As they chased him, he watched their hover engines carefully via the moniter. Once the engines glowed red, he twisted the ship's controls in a large circle, making his ship flip upside down. The enemy ships shot past him and fell to a barrage of lasers. "I've swatted flies that flew better than these guys!" he told the others with a laugh.

Even ace had to admit that the exploding ships and video-game-like controls made it almost fun to fight these enemies. and by the looks of it, they weren't to strong in the area of piloting. Of course, from what gun had seen from "sigma", they were capable of skilled pilots and fighters. But with some luck, the five might even stop the attack before it even hit the ground. Surely one expert pilot alone can't stop three ships right? Of course though, midnight was the only one aware of the actual danger they were in, swerving in and out, ignoring Aces complaints of hard it was to shoot, and giving the twins constant reminders that "this is not a game", and to "get serious."

Lamoon flew literal circles around his enemies in the sky, disorienting the pilots long enough to gun them down with his weak but fast EMP lasers. Sigma's ship latched onto a small asteroid and charged his EMP cannon more than before. The three brilliant blue blasts shot towards each of the young pilots as his allies swerved out of the way. Lamoon cursed and attempted to avoid the dangerous weapon, but it followed his ship relentlessly. He quickly released his gear from inside his ship and grabbed his sword. The EMP blast hit his ship full force, and the vehical exploded. In the wreckage now floating throughout the empty vaccum of space, shreds of his jacket and hair could be seen. Iven gasped.
