Good to be back
My grandparent passed away while I was at school today... And I'm afraid of what's next... :( I really need some help, advice and support.

Mm, it's strange, because I really should be able to help you here. My grandmother died a few years ago, but I didn't feel bad until like half a year later. Death interrupts things, but it's wholly necessary, and I feel ironically, in the eyes of their friends and families, those who die are sort of renewed through thoughts and memories. You don't know what you've got 'til it's gone, that sort of thing. I'm sorry for your loss, and there really isn't anything to do aside from mourn his passing and remember him, and even if everyone on SB wrote in this thread there's no way the sympathy could be enough to assuage your worries. But you've got friends here, as does anyone with such a crisis even without a thread to advertise it.

I'm not sure what you mean by "what's next" - you mean an afterlife? Because that's wholly due to your religion, which is a slightly controversial thing here, and would probably be best discussed with a religious leader (or me, if you're just a troubled agnostic/atheist/etc.).

By the future, I mean what's next in this life after this. I guess I'm just accustomed to that person still being alive... It's odd.

Yeah I know. I'm fine now, don't worry. I have other matters to attend to.
