Story Book Series Theory; Possible answer to what's next?

Good to be back
As we probably all know, Sega has plans for a "Story Book series". The two games that are currently from the series are Sonic and the Secret Rings & Sonic and the Black Knight. There is something noticeable about these two games.

Sonic and the Secret Rings has a storyline revolving around fire.

Sonic and the Black Knight has a storyline revolving around wind.

They both have a storyline revolving around elements of nature and legends. So this could mean we could see Sonic travelling to Atlantis, and more interestingly, to a world of darkness.

Discuss.

Couldn't stand that ridiculous typo in the title any longer. =P

^ Those two factors are hardly a reason to label both the games with that element.
EXACTLY MY POINT, THANK YOU!

We will not see a third game based on "darkness". That's too vague to even work. Those two "reasons" were just coincidences. If they were that important, they'd be throughout all the game or more noticeable. I didn't even see a fire arrow in SantSR, although I didn't play it a lot... there is really little evidence of connection to "darkness" and even the elements of fire and wind.

Someone mentioned fire, wind, and dark were mentioned in the first game. My question is where? They also said that the first game represented fire, contradicting the belief that represented all three? And where is this fire? Where is air in the second game (I actually have not played this one, but I've seen videos, read reviews, and playyed a little) without air. This whole theory is just a pipe dream.

If there is a third game (which most likely will happen) count on some form of mythology. That's the most logical path I see. Mythological folklore is ancient and still pretty renown among the world.
SatSR: Previous name- Sonic Wild Fire. "Judgement" Flame. If you noticed at the start of each mission, the fire would be on his chest and sortof burst a little. And in one cutscene, Sonic made this huge rush of flame around him. Arabian Nights= Desert. Fiery Aura around Darkspine. Fiery enemies. There is plenty of evidence that Fire was the main theme for SatSR.

SatBK: Merlina using wind in the first cutscene. and of course, Sonic's title- Knight of the Wind. Percival/Blaze was the first to call him that, Caliburn repeated it when Sonic eventually saved Percival, and later SOnic introduces himself as the Knight of the Wind. Pretty obvious.

About the whole elemnts thing, in SatSR, the power-ups were in three types- Fire, Wind, Darkness.

Just because there's some kind of mythology, doesn't mean it can't be darkness themed.
True, I just don't see it happening. A dark themed mythology could certainly happen, but darkness itself would not work.

However, I feel it was still more or less coincidental that the first game was fire, and the second wind, especially since all three were mentioned in the first game as power-ups. It just doesn't make sense that the first game was all fire if it also included wind and darkness "power-ups". I just find the whole thing coincidental.

I could be wrong, this is just what I think.

chances are, something roman or greek. if the greeks get involved... knuckles would be a spartan, no doubt. it would involve swordplay like sonic and the black knight. but how would he get there? in the other two games... magic was used...

Maybe a Dark Is Rising game? That'd be interesting to see as a game. The 'signs' would be replaced with emeralds, with I dunno, some random other thing taking place for the seventh, Shadow would be the Rider, Tails/Knuckles/Jet would be the brothers, so on and so forth.

That's all I can think of having to do with Darkness themes, and making any sort of sense. @.@
I love that book series!

Sonic as sleeping beauty.. LOL.

NO!
They already did swordplay, the Story Series is about trying new things, Rings had the control method, Knights had the swords, if there is going to be a new game then it too will try something differant.

I don't think this has been said yet, but a Dracula-themed game would be cool. Sonic as Jonathan, Blaze as Mina, Amy as Lucy, Shadow as either Dracula or Renfield, Knuckles as Quincey, Tails as Seward, Espio as Van Helsing, Silver as Arthur...

I don't know how they would make the gameplay different though.
i'm actually really sorry bout this

Thats an interesting idea, but I think Dracula would be a new character judging by the other two games.
