I've heard of these places (like Serebii?) making 'Pokemon Gym'-like organizations and I think it would be interesting for Sonic Blast to have one of these too. It's simple, really. There are 8 Pokemon Gyms, each with a Gym Leader and Three Gym Trainers. Everyone involved must create a Shoddy (look it up on google, it's really cool) team in order to be involved. Gym Trainers and Leaders must be active. The concept is that a contestant schedules a battle with one of the Gym Trainers, and they battle until the contestant wins or quits. In case of a win, the contestant battles another Gym Trainer until there is no more left. He/She then battles against the Gym Leader. If he/she bests the Gym Leader, they recieve a Gym Badge which they can put in their Signature or Profile, etc. Upon defeating all 8 official gyms, They get to Battle against the Elite Four, where they face off against them until they win or lose. If they beat all the Elite Four, they battle against the Champion and thus can win a Trophy with which to put in with Signature etc. If they lose to any of the Eltie Four or the Champion, they must start over. This is the basic idea. Before I go more into detail into making this a reality and getting it up and running, I'll get a vote first. Vote above/comments? |

I've seen this before, and it's very cool, and also creates a lot of forum activity. Although I don't have Wi-Fi and wouldn't be able to participate, I think this would be a good thing for the forum. You have my support.

Hmm, if we would be doing something on Wi-fi like Rhapsody said, I won't be able to paticapte. Nevertheless, I too support this idea.

No way, Shoddy is broken as hell, way to easy to hack pokemon, even easier than using an Action Replay. |

To put it simply, I'd have to say I don't like this simply because its a SONIC forum, not a Pokemon forum. -shrug- But I probably won't take part even if people agree to this, so feel free to ignore my opinion. |

Actually, you can't give Shoddy pokemon Stats or Moves they just can't have. So that theory's false. Also "I don't like this idea because this isn't a Pokemon Forum" is stupid |

Well, I personaly might join if this gets of the ground, but I can forsee it won't. Not to discourage you, but this requires 40+ people, and there just aren't that many people who would do that. Although the fact that this is a Sonic forum is not enough as fact, but is indeed correct. While we cam try, the fAct that this is a forum about sonic means not everyone here will be willing to participate. On a pokemon forum, then it would work but here it won't. It's kinda like drinking poison. Yeah, it's possible, but no one will do it (assuming they're mentally stable). And just like that, it is possible to change the pokons stats. Maybe not easily, but some where out there, there's a hacker with a program, a computer, a knowledge on the system itself, and no life, that can find a way to instantly give himself 3 level 100 mewtwos. So this would be nice, but I don't think it'll work. But that's just me, go ahead and prove me wrong if you can, I'd be happy if you did, I'm just saying I don't think it'll work.

It's not a bad idea, but I must vote "dislike". Here are my reasons: 1. It's a Sonic forum, creating a pokemon battle would take away from Sonic, already this section alone takes enough away from the forum, we don't need other distractions 2. How would you determine the rules? Unless you actually DS battle, it would be impossible to determine the strength and abilities of certain pokemon 3. I just don't find it that fun (me personally) battling without actually playing the videogame 4. Arguments would easily develop over the rules and how to play However, if done on wi-fi and battling with the actual games, I completely support it, just not here at a Sonic forum.
