Posts: 3,252 Group: =SB= Kings Member #9,868 Joined: March 28, 2009	Working on some new fan characters as I would REALLY like to get RPing alittle more often than what I have been doing, but these character need quite abit of work done to them. Name: Charcoal Age: 18 * Birth Date: January 12th * Gender: Female Species: Tiger/Fox crossbreed Height: 3ft 1in Weight: 27kg Dominate Hand: Right Birth Place: Unknown Residence: Wanderer Alignment: Nuteral Back Story: Charcoal is not a completely living creature, thou her body is real and she has motivation and drive like all other creatures, her soul has long since been lost. The only real record of Charcoals mortal past points to a martial arts master called Shashay that lived in solitude in a deep forest, the story said that she trained there so much that the local wildlife grew accustomed to her presence and treated her like one of there own, bringing her food and warning her of danger. One day a masked stranger entered the forest and sought out Shashay, challenging her to a test of skill, Shashay excepted the challenge and it is written that the two fought endlessly for 3 days and nights, never getting the best of each other. The winner of that fight was never recorded as the whole forest was engulfed in flames, both the masked stranger and Shashay was never seen again. It was only a few days later when the reported incidence started occurring, whole towns were burned to the ground yet there were very few casualties and no deaths, witnesses at the scene described a creature similar to the martial artist Shashay, but her eyes always seem empty and void of life. Now she has taken up the name of Charcoal, her mortal name and personality has been lost in the mist of time, Charcoal now roams the planet completing task for her mysterious 'master'. Note her age and birthdate are form her mortal years and phsical apperance, her true age may be much older than this. Combat abilities: Charcoal fights with speed and precision over strength, targeting opponents weak points. Combat powers: Charcoal can consumes any wooden object and store it in a special second stomach, when require she can spit this up, igniting it in her mouth as she does so, and fire it towards her opponents at incredible speed. Also of note the black area's on Charcoal's arms and legs can be ignited without causing any damage to Charcoal herself. Name:* Volts Age: 17 * Birth Date: May 9th * Gender: Female Species: Feline Height: 3ft 2in Weight: 29kg Dominate Hand: Right Birth Place: Unknown Residence: Wanderer Alignment: Nuteral Back Story: Like Charcoal, Volt is not ammong the living, however her past can be more easily traced than Charcoal on account that she visited many populated cities during her moral life. Volt originally was a treasure hunter called Narja, she was famed for not collecting treasure for personal gain but as a method to help the unfortunate, spending the money she makes on the poor and needy. One summer afternoon a masked stranger approched Narja with a tempting proposition, claim the artifact that he required and he will give to her riches beyond her wildest dreams. Narja was quick to take up this offer and found the artifact to be in an abandoned power plant, after seeing off many ancient guard robots Narja found what she was looking for and attempted to remove the artifact, however this triggered a fail safe in the plants security and flooded the room with electrical energy. Narja was assumed dead on that day however no body could be found. Later that year a demoliton team set about to destroy the power plant, the plant having grown unstable since the incident, only to come under attack from a strange yellow creature wielding the power of electricity. None can really be sure if this creature was Narja or not, her friendly smile replaced by a cold stare. Note her age and birthdate are form her mortal years and phsical apperance, her true age may be much older than this. Combat abilities: Volts attacks opponent like a lightning bolt would smash apart a tree, She comes in with one stong attack and then retreats before the opponent has time to react. Combat powers: The two horns on Volt's head are used when gathering electricity, the rear horn absorbs it and stores it as static across her whole body, while the frontal horn acts as a release point, gathering up the stored energy and amplyfing it, releasing it in a concertrated blast. The horns on her head also makes her immune to and electrical attacks her opponent uses. Name:* Shift Age: 18 * Birth Date: October 8th * Gender: Female Species: Fox crossbreed Height: 2ft 9in Weight: 27kg Dominate Hand: Left Birth Place: Unknown Residence: Wanderer Alignment: Nuteral Back Story: Shift's history can be traced back to s small fishing village, in her life she was know as Kira, a girl would would fish everyday to feed her sick sister, having lost there mother and father to the ocean when they were both little, Kira would do anything to help her sister. One day while fishing on the docks, a masked stranger apporched Kira with a simple request, he claimed he knew a cure for her sisters illness but would only give it to her if she could catch him the largest shark in the ocean. Kira was reluctant at first, she had not been out to sea since her parents accidents, but she accepted none the less, if it meant a cure for her sister then she had to try. But Kira never returned from that jorney, her boat was found several months later washed up on shore, torn in two by some massive sea creature. Kira's sister gave up hope after that and passed away a month after, the remains of the boat was used to create a memorial for the two of them. It was a few weeks later when the character known as Shift appeared, standing watch over the tomb stone like structure, but vanishing whenever anyone got close. Note her age and birthdate are form her mortal years and phsical apperance, her true age may be much older than this. Combat abilities: Shift's normal fighting style is to try and match her opponent blow for blow, until she gets a chance to counter attack. Combat powers: Shift's fur can release a reflective liquid substance that has the ability to relect any light source, making Shift blend into the background and become nearly impossible to spot. Her appearance is snazzy, plus her fire breathing power is hella cool. Good work. But, one thing... "...yet there were very few casuaties and no deaths...." doesn't casualty = death?

Charcoal: OMG, Spitfire powers! Now THAT'S a first. Well done for creativity! Partial self-ignition's pretty new too; most people prefer to just do the whole 'Human Torch' thing, so it's good to see something less flashy. However, you should run that bio through a spell checker, 'cause there's a few typos in there. Volt: In order to fire a proper 'knock 'em around a bit' bolt of lightning, the static electricity Volt collects is gonna have to be amplified somewhere along the line. An attack consisting solely off static electrical energy will do little more than cause a little jolt (1d6 damage if you wanna make Heroes Unlimited references, LOL) that is painful and throws the target right off-guard but does little actual damage. Maybe the horns have something to do with the amplification process? Shift: This one isn't too clear for me (oh god, what a terrible pun). Does the liquid provide 100% invisibility or is it more of a camouflage effect? Interesting take on the traditional invisibility power, though. In terms of character concepts and whatnot, I'd say this is great. Excellent job with that.
